Wow, this forum really gives me hope! I have read through almost all of these threads and CANT BELIEVE how many women got bfp's within a few months after HSG! I am to schedule my HSG soon, but now that I hear the miracle stories I think i'll schedule it a lot sooner. Has anyone heard from Babs? She reported on this thread that she had HSG in April of 2005 and got her bfp in May of '05. The last time she posted she was 11 weeks along and due January 2006. Just wondering if the pregnancy was a success.

just wanted to update everyone. i posted earlier that i got pregnant in august just 3 months after hsg dye test, well i found out a week or so later that it was a tubal pregnancy and that i had to terminate it. i did not have to have surgery i was given methotrexate which is a form of chemo. the doc gave me the shot to keep from damaging my tube with surgery. dont give up hope though because it can happen for all of you. i am excited to be starting over with trying in dec. i will take clomid again 50 mg cd 3-7 then go in for follicle monitoring and hcg trigger shot to make me ovulate after my follicles are between 20-25. i know it can happen again for me and i hope that dec is the lucky cycle and that it sticks in the right place this time.CHARITYHOPE- the iui will increase you chances of getting pregnant. are you taking meds like clomid or anything? i do believe that follicle monitoring and the hcg trigger shot helped me get pregnant. the monitoring they can watch and can pinpoint ovulation alot better than just using those opk's. i would recommend iui to anyone who has been trying for awhile with no success. good luck.

I had spottings for 3 days on the expt day of my 2nd cycle after HSG, which was 7 days ago and been having crampings and back pain since then. With body temp Could that been signs of pg?

HSG does work! Even the nurse and the fertility doctor I am going to say that it definitely helps. I got pregnant about 5 days after my HSG. Unfortunately I lost that one, and the one after that and now I have had 3 regular cycles with no BFP. Still waiitng. I almost want to get another HSG xray done again so that I can get pregnant again. BUT, some women DO NOT get pregnant after the HSG, so it's a hit and miss. Don't be discouraged if you don't get pregnant after it.

My husband and i have been trying to concieve for 5 years now, im still very young so it is abit disheartening to go through all these blood tests etc when having a baby should be such a natural thing. I had hsg on the 22/3/07 and i have to say it is a very uncomfotable feeling, they were unable to unblock my right tube but sucessful with the left. It would be nice to actually put it to the test now but i have been bleeding every since does anyone know how long ur suppose to bleed for after ?

MsMonet - March 29

Laina-I just got my done yesterday and I am still lightly bleeding, also. My nurse said the doctor may have scrapped my cervix when taking out the catheter,,, She said the bleeding should stop, today. I pray. HSG are not fun but well worth it, I hear.

Hi girls! I am a regular on another thread but I had a question about the hsg's and y'all seem to know your stuff. First of all, EDIT_ my RE said I could bd right away. ok GIRLS_ I had my hsg Friday March 23 cd9. I spotted for a couple days but the pelvic pressure/pain is still there. The RN said it will last about a week. I Oed on cd14, I think, and still I have horrible pressure and sparatic sharp pains where my uterus would be. Any ideas?? Should I call the Dr or what? Any you girls experience lingering pain? Thanks for helping ;)

i am a regular on another thread, and also had a ?. i am having hte hsg dye test done can anyone explain what they do, i am a little nervouse.do they put you to sleep or any numbing meds?

Katt - April 1

TONYandJOE_ My RE gave me a .5 Xanex and 3 7.5 Lortab. I was to take the Xanex and 1 Lortab 45 minutes before the procedure. I can say the Xanex worked wonders as it did take away my aprehensivness but the Lortab wasn't so good for the pain. I would suggest something else.

YES BACK IN JULY 2005 I HAD ONE DONE AND GOT PREGNANT EXACTLY 3 MONTHS LATER AND WE HAD BEEN TRYING FOR 1 AND 1/2 YEARS IT DOES WORK

GM - April 4

I had my HSG on 3/23, it was my second within a month...the first one was very painful but it was not able to be completed, the dye just kept coming back out, never filled my uterus. They thought I was completely blocked. Then I went to a specialist, I had zero pain, and the test went great...no blocks. We were told we could bd immediately...that was cd 10, today is cd 21. I still think it's too early for me to test. AF is due on 4/10. So we wait...again. We've been ttc for 2 years, I'm 38.
