Hi everyone, I'm 21 years old and have been ttc for over 4 years now and no luck, I have done all my labs and everything is normal but I do have irregular periods/cycles and I'm wanting to start taking clomid because I did have a m/c on 05/31/2009 and never got pregnant since then I just been so upset to see other women pregnant and not me and its making me cry and wonder can I get pregnant? I just left a message for my ob to see if he would prescribe me clomid so I can start and because I do read success story of clomid so it gives me confidence on tryin it out

Doctor called me today about my ultrasound yesterday morning. She said I have 1 dominant follicle on my right ovary, nothing in my left. She expects that I will ovulate in the next few days. There is another follicle but she doesn't expect that to become dominate (which would indicate two eggs releasing, or twins)...the clomid is working!!! I am so giddy and happy. Now to continue with my OPK's and BD's haha. Hoping for that BFN this month. I also have low progesterone so she is going to get me in for blood work on CD 21 to see if I need progesterone supplements.

Welcome Joy & Babydust!

Joy - That's great that you ovulated! It sounds like 50mg works for you. Are you seeing an OBGYN or specialist?

Babydust - I'm sorry for your m/c. Have you ovulated at all since then?

Katie - Yay! That's good news that you're responding well to the medicine.

I had 3 follicles (14mm, 16mm, & 19mm) on my CD12 ultrasound and they were all on my left side, which is GREAT because that's the only tube I have. I had my hcg trigger shot the next day, which is supposed to release all of the mature eggs. I did my CD21 progesterone labs on Monday, which came back at 19.5. That's the highest it's ever been for me, so I'm pretty happy. When I got pregnant last August, my progesterone was only 14.1. I go for my beta test on Monday. Hoping for a bfp!!

Hi Everyone!!

Welcome to those of you who are new! I am on CD33. I believe I ovulated on CD 22, but yesterday I had some more pain around my ovaries and some egg white discharge. I took an ovulation test on CD 22 and I believe it was positive, but you know how those test are hard to read. Do you guys have cramping all throughout your cycle while on clomid? Also, I have had some tenderness around my nipples. Has anyone else experience this? I am going to wait a couple more weeks before taking a home pregnancy test! Baby dust to all!!

So far my OPK's are still negative...my DR said she expected it to turn positive by Friday or Saturday..and its Saturday with still a NEG OPK..so I really am getting discouraged about ovulating this month.

I am using Fmu to test, should I not test first thing in the AM?

crmr2008 - March 16

Hi Katie267

What CD are you on? This is my first month on Clomid and I didn't ovulate until CD 22. I have heard that Clomid can actually make your cycles longer. Try not to stress too much because stress can delay ovulation. I know, easier said than done. As far as testing goes, I tested in the morning and night, just to make sure I didn't miss it, but that is just my opinion. I know the test can get pricey. I would use clear blue digital. They give you a circle or a smiley face. If you get a smiley face it means your ovulating. They are more expensive, but it gives you a clear cut answer. The ones with the lines can be confusing and frustrating. You can get the clear blue digital off of ebay for cheaper. Hang in there! You will get positive ovulation test soon! I know it is hard waiting. I am waiting to take a pregnancy test for another week. It has been 5 weeks since my last period. Going to wait another week before I test. Blessings to you!!

crmr2008 - March 16

Also when I had my ultrasound on CD10 they said I would ovulate on CD16 or 17, but I didn't ovulate until CD22, so don't get discouraged :)

Right now I am on CD 15. My cycles are usually 33-38 days so I am not expecting to O until next week or so...but I figured my doctor could tell by the way my follicles looked that it was going to be soon? She sounded pretty confident about it...hm.

katie267 - March 17

Last month I started on day 28 though, not on clomid at all at that point (haven't started on time in YEARS!) so my cycles are all over the place. I guess we shall wait and see....

katie267 - March 17

So this morning I tested and my OPK looks positive! it's hard to tell, but I took 2 today, and the one I just took is a lot darker than the others. Here's to hoping! I have no 0 symptoms at all, no EWCM or headaches, but maybe they are coming.

JOY2013 - March 18

Hello everyone I'm Nikki i was once always on here but i had to take a break from the group. How has everyone been doing? Just to give a little information about myself I'm now 23 been trying for over 2 years has done one IUI and i plan on doing a monitored IUI in August. Babydust to everyone.

Hi everyone!
I've finished my second round of Clomid and this month I've felt so lousy and low that I've been in tears for the majority of the month. It's really hard to be positive when its so easy (or so it seems) for others. I can't even talk to friends about it so it's like a secret feeling of failure as a woman.

Does anyone else feel this way?

BabyFever12 - March 18

Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing well. Unfortunately AF came on full force today & my beta was negative. I go Wednesday for my CD3 u/s & will hopefully be cleared for my 2nd round of Clomid. Since I did have 3 mature follicles & my progesterone was 19.5, my dr will keep me on the 50mg.

Crmr & JOY - the Clomid causes the same symptoms as pregnancy, such as breast tenderness/nipple sensitivity & cramping. I had brown spotting at 11dpo, which I thought could've been IB, but it obviously wasn't. I hope that its you're bfp, but I've done 3 total rounds of Clomid & I've had those symptoms every time. Keep us updated. Praying for you guys.

Hi Nikki! Welcome back. I think I saw you on here whenever I first started. Is there a reason why you're waiting until August to start trying again?

Katie - I always test in the morning & at night.

Jinni - when was AF due?? It may be a good sign if you're cycle is late & you're having symptoms.

Lucky - I had a really hard day yesterday when I started some heavy spotting. I knew AF was coming. I cried this morning at work, because I was so disappointed. It just hurts when every month just passes you by & all of the medicines, side effects, testing, etc was all for nothing. I got great results all month & was really getting a positive outlook on everything & then bam...AF hits. So heartbreaking. To make it worse, my sister-n-law told me that she is starting to try for her 2nd baby in April. She previously had 2 abortions & she has a 3 y/o. I'm sure she'll have no problem.

I know it's not other people's fault that I have problems & they don't, but it doesn't make it hurt any less & make us question why. Don't worry. You're not alone. Unfortunately, we are all experiencing the same feelings. It's really hard. Hang in there.
