Hello everybody. Hope you don't mind if I join in. My friend dbarnes turned me onto this website. It's been very informative. I had a lapraoscopy and hysteroscopy last year and I am now attending a fertility specialist. My husband's levels are through the roof now (very low before) I have taken Clomid, I took the ovulation test but it did not show + surge, an ultrasound was done and follicles were a good size so IUI was done but then I had blood drawn and level was not high enough to OV. So I had two HCG shots. Anybody have an experience similar to mine. I am 19 days post AF. Still 9 days til next AF and already have sore and full BB. This usually doesn't happen until 5 days before AF but been feeling like this all week. Some minor cramping nothing major. I can do blood test Saturday. Going insane waiting. My prayers are going out to all of you right now. God is teaching me something right, although I'm not sure what.....but I do know that I will see his lesson for me and it will only make me stronger and more faithful. I hope I didn't offend anyone by this, but he has been my strength and I wanted to share

Hello everyone, well I had my HSG done 2wks ago, and it went ok, not as painful as anticipated and everything was normal. I had an ultrasound and Estradiol the day I had a color change, and I was told My folicle was 18mm which is normal. My Est level was 249. Today I had my progestorne level checked, I was told it was 16.8,which was good. Hubby had an analysis last week though, and count was about 60mill, morpility 23% and motility really pretty low, the doctor thought the motility was abnormally low ,and has suggested we come in for a second semen analysis for him to be double sure. I am confused now cos we have been trying for over ayear, and hubby feels abit low about this. I am keeping my fingers crossed till we do the repeat analysis later in the week. I am really hoping for a miracle. Thanks everyone and baby dust to us all.

Soup, all is going well here. I am going on 15 weeks. I've had 2 ultrasounds and things look great. I will go for a third ultrasound on Friday (high-risk dr. because I am 35!) My hubby and I are hoping to find out the sex, but may be too soon. I am praying the clomid works for you. Try not to become discouraged. I did a lot of praying for this baby. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and it will happen for you and your hubby soon.
Asr, I hope all is well for you.

DaisyClara, I think we are close. Today is day 26. I was suppose to start today. As of 10:55pm nothing. Keeping my fingers crossed. Maybe I took the test early. Do you know if it is normal to be late after an HSG? If not started by Thurs. will test again. I will also keep my fingers crossed for you. Good Luck to ALL.

Hi Ladies - I hope you don't mind if I join in as well! This is the first time I've ever written in on one of these forums...always been observing instead! All of your postings have brought me some hope. I am 28 and my husband (34) and I have been trying to conceive for a little over a year. He had a SA and everything was low, so we are going to a urologist in Nov. for consultation. He'll do another SA at that appointment just to make sure the results were correct the first time around. Then a week later we have our first visit with a fertility doctor. So far it looks like everything is fine with me - I just had my first HSG test on Monday. I was really nervous and luckily my husband was able to be there to hold my hand throughout the procedure. It was VERY uncomfortable, but well worth it, if by chance, we can get pregnant from it! My tubes were completely open, which was great news. I didn't have any bleeding or cramping afterwards, but now 2 days later, I do! Has anyone had that happen? I should be ovulating this Saturday, so wish us luck! Also, does anyone else here have male factor issues?

Well got my AF tonight. 2 days late. A little down. Maybe next month. Welcome kathy436. My husband had a SA done last month. 34million. What was your husband. I see you are going to see a urologist. Did your doctor recommend it. Trying to figure out my next step. I was thinking my husband needs to go see a urologist. Can they prescribe him something to increase count. I spotted for two days after HSG and had cramps. I think you are ok. Good Luck this weekend.

Hi dbarnes, thanks for the reply! Yes, my OB/GYN recommended seeing the urologist. I can't remember what his count is, but his first SA revealed low count, low motility and abnormalities! Gotta love it. :( I'm not sure if the urologist will prescribe anything or not, I think they run the SA, do some blood work and check for physical problems that could be hindering his fertility. Anyone else had a visit with a urologist that they could share?

Dbarnes, I forgot to mention in my post that I feel for you receiving your AF. It is SUCH a downer every month...something all of us here understand. Thanks for wishing me luck - we'll see...not getting my hopes up. Take care.

Kathy436, I guess we re in similar situation. I had my HSG done like 2wks ago and all my other blood tests, and ultra sound were ok. However my hubby has 60million count but with very low motility. The doctor even had the SA done twice to be sure. I find this a little frustrating though. We should go see the doctor again next week to hear his reccomendation. I did some reasearch online myself on how to improve motility, and saw stuff like proxeed and fertilaid. I will hear what the doctor has to say first before taking other steps. Baby dust to us all. I know this is my year!

Hi Sherryz and Soup! I just happened to pop on this site, I was happy to hear from you all. Sherryz, I am so happy to hear that your pregnancy is going well! Soup, I am praying for you as well. Stay positive and just remember you are getting a step closer! Your time is coming and you will be so happy. Thank you all for your sweet words of encouragement. I am on my 10th week and everything has been fine so far. 2 more weeks and my first trimester will be over! and I will have graduated from the fertility specialist and go to a regular obgyn! For those of us that have to try harder to concieve, it really really is a blessing once it happens. I talk with my friends who conceived with no problem and they don't seem to have the appreciation, excitement, and happiness that my husband and I have about our pregnancy. Looking back, I feel that it was a blessing in disguise that we had to work hard for this because we have no doubts that we wanted this baby and we were willing to sacrifice our time money and emotions and so much more for him/her. These feelings are certainly worth the wait!!!! Good luck to everyone!!

Oh, I forgot to metion. There is a great online community for infertility that I found alot of comfort in. If you like this site, you may find some comfort in that online community. I never participated in anything online until infertility and it really helped to know that there are so many others out there that share you experience. You can get advice, share stories, or just vent. I still check back with the friends I met through it. It is www.dailystrength.org and just go under the fertiltiy section.

Hi faith4jada, glad to know I'm not alone with the male factor issues! When is your appointment with the doctor? I'll be anxious to hear what suggestions he/she has. I just finished my peak fertility point and now it's just a waiting game to see if a miracle happened! I hate this part - I'm feeling very doubtful. How is everyone else? Baby dust to all!

Wondering if anyone has had this happen?
I had my HSG done on the 21 of september, it was a bit uncomfortable, and had some cramping, but i survived.
I got my period like always, which happened to be the 4th of october. I had a really long (10 days) period, and it was very heavy. on the 21st got another period, and it is quite heavy.
Is this normal after having an HSG, this has never happened to me before. We don't have an appt with the fertility doc till nov 9th.

Hi Doodlebug, I did not have anything like that happen after the HSG. I had light spotting for 3 days after the test and then everything was normal after that. I just had my first period after HSG and it was fine. I would see if you can get in to see your doctor sooner and expain what happened. A 10 day period seems long to me. Did you feel light headed or dizzy while on your period? Did you o between the two periods? What cd are you on now? I hope you are feeling better.
