practical ivf experiences

we are planning to go for ivf in a couple of months. I want to know what are the success/failure rates and your experiences. I am 36 now.

I have a friend that has done IVF twice. First time she had maternal twins, second time she had paternal twins. I would say her success rate was quite high. I also know several couples that have done 3+ cycles and never become pregnant. I think the official sucess rate nationwide is 50%. Your odds to become pregnant using IVF are actually higher than traditional intercourse.
