How many cycles does it take to get preg?

I have PCOS. I was just put on metiform after 2 months of clomid and no ovulation. I am taking 1000mg of metiform and also taking Progesterone so that I have my period. I will start 100mg of clomid on days 5-9. I think I have ovulated one time in my life and that was maybe 4 years ago. I'm 25 and have had problems since I was 13. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 6 months. Before all of this fertility medicine I was on BC to help with my period. Has anyone had the same problems? I just wanted to know what my chances are of getting pregnant the first time I ovulate.

it took me 4 cycles to get pregnant and i was only on Clomid 50 mg. Good luck! Btw, I took my Clomid on days 1-5 when I got pregnant - I just wanted to try something different; it wasn't what the doctor told me to do. The other times I took it days 3-8. I don't know how they determine when to take it - it seems to vary a lot just depending on how they were trained!
