Hi Harrisongoodall. I will have to ask my doc as they did not recommend anything like that. I had PCOS and my husband had a low sperm count. They wanted me to go straight to IVF but that was too expensive so I opted for IUI. With regards to the lining, from my US they said that it should have thicken a bit more by the time I did the IUI. Hope you are feeling better.

CAI; hi there just got back from hospital, got to go back tomorrow aswell as there wnting to keep an eye on me, fever not budged at all! the doc said it is common to been poorly or feel rubbish after iui as the final injection has something in it that lowers your amune system, and i must have picked this up from my mum, nothing ever goes straight forward for me it was only a few years ago i had cancer, thts why they gave me iui straight away as cemotherapy can have affect on fertiliy! i have lost alot of hope about been preg this time, and hoping i feel much better when my 2nd chance comes, i really do wish you all the luck and hope it works for you x x

Hello everyone, so i got the phone call and its NEGATIVE! The nurse said to call in when AF arrives. It felt like my hear dropped to the ground. Tears just flowing down my eyes as i call DH. He was trying to give me encouraging words but at that time it was going one ear out the other. So many questions i have for God but came to realization that you trust in the lord with your heart and lean not on your own understandings... Hopefully its my turn next month.

....oooops! I meant to say my HEART dropped to the ground

wlkingbyfaith; i no its easy for me to say because i havnt reached the path you have been down yet, but i try to keep myself postive regardless the result, yes i would cry and be very upset, but i tell myself when its ment to be it really is ment to be, i have waited years for this and i keep strong (regardless me having flu lol) you need to do same, there is always time this time next month you could be crying and writing on here cause it was all good..with twins!!! keep your chins up and stay more than strong for second time round <3 <3

harrisongoodall, thank you. You are totally right! I am definitely leaving it in Gods hand b/c what can't kill you, only makes you stronger. The crazy thing is that later today AF came! (very light ). I wish it would've came ealier so i would'nt have to go in and spend $ on co-pay...lol Well, back to follistim in a couple of days. So sorry about the flu. Hope you get better real soon!

Hi All,

I am just starting my process of IUI with donor sperm which will happen on my next cycle. It is really comforting to know there are so many going through the same thing I am. I can't imagine what my 2ww will be like, I am already anxious and it feels like time is dragging just getting to the point of insemination! My SO and I have been trying to conceive for over 2 years now...while everyone around me has been turning up preggo one after another....I can't wait until it's me! I just finalized my donor and waiting for my doc's office to give me the go ahead to order...then it's just waiting until AF comes to get the ball rolling! Please send me good vibes and I will do the same for all of you! :0)

YelloMutt: Welcome to the forum and wishing you the best of luck..
Well my 2nd IUI failed me but we decided to go back for round 3. Went to doctors this morning have 2 follicles present and had my blood drawn to check on my FSH levels... I am hoping and praying that my levels are under 10! I am trying to keep the faith but its so hard (as you all know ) to go through this... I just hope the outcome is to start the family that my husband and I always dreamed of. Babydust to all of you.. xo

Hi everyone. Well I'm over AF now. So I am starting to feel better about things. I cried and cried the other day. Weird how I didn't fry at first. I took me a few days. Just wondered if anyone was really sore after iui. I was so sore down there! I'm taking this month off. I need a mental rest. I can't wait to hear about all the people on their 2ww. I hope it all works out with baby dust! wlkingby faith...I know exactly how you felt! My period was 5 days late and no sign of it and then wham there it was! :( Good Luck to all xoxoxox

Hollymouse - January 28

Ooops, I meant "cry" not fry LOL

CAI - January 28

Hi Harrisongoodall.... I hope that you are feeling well and hope to see a posting from you soon.

CAI - January 28

Hi Hollymouse, it does take a lot out of you after the 2ww and getting a negative result. One of my colleagues here at work also did the iui and her period came yesterday, she was depressed as this was her second so she stayed home from work. I felt so bad for her and also for you. This is my first iui and during the procedure I experienced warmth and then a little burn but I cannot say that it was painful. The next day I was walking "gingerly" and my husband asked if I was in pain but I just wanted to take everything slow praying that it would not leak back out... sounds silly I know :) As you said, taking the month off will take some of the pressure off and who knows, maybe you will become pregnant naturally. Baby dust and prayers to you.
