ttc2 - I have also read that OPK's aren't a gaurantee. But so far they have worked for me and the other girls on here. I still go for a blood test every month on cd22 to confirm ovulation. If you get a positive opk test you want to have sex that day and at least the next day, if not two days following the positive. But when you get a positive opk you can ovulate anywhere up to 48 hours later. So they say do "do it" the day of and the following two days.
I'm not sure where you're located but if you're within canada or the usa you can get them from earlypregnancytests (dot com, I can't actually add that in other wise it doesn't let me post. It won't let you post email address or web sites). Or from opk tests (dot com). And they're WAY cheaper than buying them in the store.

Angel- Thank you! It has been difficult trying for the past three years with negative results. But I am really hoping that one day, and hopefully one day soon I will be pregnant and have a beautiful baby :) I am hoping and praying that this 3rd round of Clomid I just finished is it!! And no, I didn't try anything before I started taking Clomid.
I really hope to goodness that you are pregnant!!
Hopefullysoon- I am really crossing my fingers that you get pregnant this month!! That would actually be pretty cool if we both got our BFP this month! OMGOSH!! Fingers and toes crossed girl!! lol And I think that I am going to treat myself to a pedi also =)

I am on cd15, and still no positive O! =( Not sure if it is Clomid affecting the test or what?! I am trying to be as positive as I can. So been busy BD! lol Gosh! I hope this is the month!!! At least for one of us!! Come on good news!!! :)

OBABY - I don't think youve missed your positive opk yet! The last time I o'd I didn't get it until cd16 and I take clomid cd3-7. My sister used to always get hers around cd17 or 18. So I'm sure it's on it's way!! Good luck and I hope you get your positive soon!! That would be so so so awesome if we both get pregnant this month :) and I say definitely treat yourself to a pedi :) we all deserve to be spoiled with some relaxing time to ourselves after everything we've all been going through!

Welcome, radiance! This is a great forum. Like you, I too am 31 and have been ttc for almost a year now. I do have a wonderful son, but I also miscarried last year. Hopefully we will have some luck.
O-Baby, I think this is your week to ovulate. Stay positive.
Hopefullysoon, I might be wrong, but I am pretty sure you'll have your surge for about 48 hours leading up to ovulation, so if you are taking one test a day you will definitely catch your surge. Try to relax, which I know is ridiculous advice ;)
I started acupuncture today. It was amazing. My acupuncturist is pregnant and was a fertility patient at the same doc as me! I am excited for this. Ill know by this weekend if this month "break" has any surprisingly good results, although I doubt it. If not, back to round 3 of clomid next week.

Jac1019 - your LH surge can last as little as 12 hours. One month when I ovulated I got a darker line than usual but not quite as dark as the control line then got a definite positive 8 hours later then the next morning it was gone. I try not to stress about it lol, but so hard to do. Testing twice a day is actually helping me to relax because I'm confident I won't miss it :) were bd'ing everyday anyways so even if I missed it, it wouldn't matter. Lol maybe I'm being overly efficient! I so hope this month brings you good news!! Keep us all posted!!

Babymoon – thank you, I also hope it holds out till next week :-) I’ll try and sneak my opk’s with but dunno if I’ll have chance to use it in private much... maybe use it and carry it in my handbag for 5 minutes lol. I hate that bloated feeling... I need a whole different sized wardrobe for that. Our opk’s are very expensive here too, so I only got 7 and hope that’s enough. And I think too, 3rd time lucky :-) I’m deffo not pregnant though lol... but who knows maybe this is my month. Dont stress about the positive opk too much, remember I only ovulated CD25 last month! But I still ovulated. Think I’ll only start my opk’s around Cd13, since I doubt I will ever ovulate that early... then use them till CD20 and hope I ovulate by then.
Radiance – Welcome!! I do hope your blood test has positive news... who knows maybe round 1 has worked for you :-)
Hopefullysoon – even if I get a positive opk on sat surely Sunday eve would be ok would it not? I think they say you only ovulate 24 – 48 hours later... although would not be nice to take a chance like that though. My cycles are so long waiting another month takes too long. My opk’s cost about $30 for 7. Which is alot. 2 a day would be great but also is not an option really. And with my long cycle I used them last month and used them too early anyways so it was a waste of money. I looked at pre-seed here and it was $40 if I convert it, so was not going to be an option yet. Your Sunday sounds great to me! Nice to be pampered.
Jac1019 – please let me know how the acupuncture goes, I’ve heard very good things about it for fertility.
Well I guess I better start doing some work, had alot of posts to read through this morning on here and it was great. Really needed it, kind of feeling down today about not having a child, sometimes I feel like I have this big gap in my life that just cant be filled by anyone or anything. Obaby, opks can lead to false pos while on clomid until the clomid has left your body, hence they say to start testing 4 or 5 days after last clomid pill.
Hopefullysoon and angel def don't stress I'm sure you won't have missed it, I haven't heard of anyone on here ovulating that early seems we are all a little later!
Angel I hear you, if one more person tells me it will happen when I relax I may go postal!!
I think the best part of this forum is that we are supportive while not doing the whole oh relax it's probably stress!

Oh and angel the 40 for preseed is for about 10 apps so you could spread it over a few months of pos opks! I'm going to give it another shot I think.
Bloating, hmmm well if I am pg this month I'm going to need maternity clothes real quick!!

Babymoon – I also think I will be ovulating late.. that is if I do this month, its not unheard of to not ovulate every month. I am quite a stressed out person by nature, but I don’t think that’s my problem, I’m not sure what the problem is yet besides pcos but I’m sure there’s a bit more going on... maybe I will try the preseed next month then if need be and if I get a higher dosage.. I don’t really think I need it as I seemed to have the EWCM last month and all that but then again you never know if its hostile or not!! So so much that has to go right to fall pregnant... how do these teenagers just do it by accident or on a one night stand and still using protection lol... how? I’m very bloated too so don’t worry, managed to lose only 3.5 pounds since seeing the dietician 3 weeks ago, ok well I’ve not been all that strict like I should with her foods so will try harder now. And I need to exercise which I don’t, so I cant expect a miracle... but I find after clomid I get so bloated, I think I just deflated now from having AF be over. It will prob all be back in the next 2 weeks.
I have the worst headache today, and lower backache, taken pain killers but its actually still sore... so annoying!

Angel_ Yeah I know about Clomid affecting the opks. But it hasn't up until now....but then again it may still be early. On Clomid, I usually ovulate within five to seven days after. So I am guessing this month I will see the surge later than usual. But like hopefullysoon said...we have been bd so it won't matter anyways....lol I go in for my blood test on the 18th, so that will be able to confirm ovulation or not. Hpefully she just says...your pregnant!!! lol That would be absolutely WONDERFUL!
And....I totally understand about the bloating...OMGOSH! I was put on Metformin and have only lost about 3 pounds! GRRR! Oh well....I keep telling myself that it will be well worth it! I believe it will for all of us!

Angel - lol that's what I do with my opk's since I test in the afternoon at work. I put them back in the pouch it came it then put it in my puts and check it 5-10 mins later! I think that's a good idea for you to do this weekend well your away with the inlaws.
OBABY - that would be amazing if they just told you were pregnant instead of confirming if you ovulated! That day will be the best day EVER!!

O-baby – You are so lucky you ovulate so early. And we can deffo be positive and think that you are pregnant ? You just never know...
Hopefullysoon – I will start testing tonight I think, maybe just after work or so, actually we’re going out tonight so maybe tomorrow.
Dunno whats wrong with me, I’ve had 2 nights that I cannot sleep, I wake up around 2am then can’t sleep again, so I am soooo moody I’m either fighting with everyone or I”m just really quiet around everyone all the time.

SO I think I have good news! I took an opk test this afternoon and the 2nd line was just about as dark as the control line! So I'm hoping that means I'll get a definite positive tonight or tomorrow! So happy if its already here since I'm on cd14. That would mean hopefully a nice short 28 day cycle this month. Lol the sooner I ovulate means the sooner I can take that preg test.
How is everyone roses opk's going? I love that so many of us are close together in cycles this month!

Hopefullysoon – yay!!!!! That is brilliant news! That could be your definitive positive though, some surges are short so see that as one ? i decided to try my first one last night, as in the first of the smiley face one ,but i think i used it wrong, threw away the instructions and it kept just flashing a little test on the screen so eventually ejected it and it never showed anything. Although when i did eject it it did show a dark and a light line, so i’m assuming the light line was negative. Also, they say to test after 4 hours of not using the bathroom, i could never go 4 hours without using lol

I'm cd 28 today, last month was 31 days in total, so three days to go, I've decided to wait until Monday if nothing has happened before testing.
Felt rather sick this morning, had two glasses of wine last night after a killer day at work and basically woke up with a hangover, very weird I normally have to drink a lot more
