we have been ttc for 6 months. I am 27 and my husband is 31. I charted for Jan. and Feb. I was having really bad pains during ovulation so I want to the doctor. He said I was fine and not to chart and relax...(not so easy). Well still nothing this month....I keep going through this emotional rollercoaster every month. It seems all of my friends are pregnant and have gotten pregnant in their first month. Is there something wrong? My doctor won't do any tests for a year. Should I consider going to a different doctor? Do I have to wait a year before we do testing? I would rather know if everything is normal or if their is a problem now instead of waiting till Oct.

I am going through the same thing you are. I am 28 & have been trying for 9 months now. I have really severe cramping during ovulation, I can feel everything. I was also spotting during some months of ovulation too. My doctor keeps telling me to relax, but I don't know how to. All of my friends and neighbors are pregnant on their 1st and 2nd months and I don't know what to do. I had an ultrasound that showed I didn't have any cysts and I had my hormone levels checked and everything came back fine. My next test is a HSG to see if I have a blockage in my tubes. My doctor said whenever I wanted to move forward, she would do the next test. I think it depends on your doctor, I recommend if you are really stressed about it (like me) to try some of the tests now.
