I'm pregnant!!!! Month 2 after HSG after trying for almost 1 year! I had my blood test this morning at 16 dpo.
I have had cramping on and off for the past few days in my left lower abdomen so I guess that is a good sign. Still in shock here.

I just found this site as well. It is heartening to read about the BFPs here. I just had an HSG on 9-21 and an IUI on 9-29. Congratulations asr. dbarnes I had bleeding after the test also. I lasted 2 or 3 days but was light. I do think that is normal. My doctor said it was from the clip they put on your cervix to insert to tube of dye. I hope you have luck this month!

Hi all! Just thought you'd like to read my reply to this post. I am on the 3rd trimester board now and I am 33 weeks yesterday! I was so hoping the HSG would give me a baby and it did. Unfortunately, I suffered through a miscarriage in my 3rd month past the test. They say your chances for pregnancy are highest within the first 3 months. I got pregnant 6 months after it! I'm 42 and this is my first. It will happen when you least expect it. Keep the faith even when you are at your lowest. You will see some of my prior posts on this thread if you look back. Good luck to all!

Congrats also too autumnsmommy and countrymom

Hi dbarnes, I had the HSG test done on 9-21 and my IUI on 9-29. I used an OPK that showed positive on 9-28 so we went in the next day. I am full of hope this cycle. I am currently on cd5. What cd are you on? Did you have an IUI done as well? Are you on any meds? I'm asking because we have nothing wrong with us either. All the test have come back fine. We have been trying for 2yrs now. I had a natural pregnancy a year ago that ended in mc at 9 weeks, so I know I can get pregnant. It's definately frustrating not getting a bfp when there is nothing wrong. I am 40 so I know that factors in but my FSH was low so that's a good sign. I am taking femara this month after 4 cycles of clomid that were unsuccessful. I hope this does the trick for both of us. Autumsmommy, countrymom, and asr thanks so much for posting your bfp it gives me hope to see success stories. I wish you all the best with your pregnancies. You must be so excited!!

Hi guys, I am new to this forum and facing the same issue. I have being married for over a year thus being trying for a year. I got my HSG done today, and it was not so bad. Alittle bit of discomfort but cerntainly bearable. The Dr said every thing looked normal. I guess that is some good news.I had blood sample drawn earlier in the week for various tests, and My hubby is supposed to go for his analysis next week. I am hoping everything goes well, as the rate of pregnancies after the HSG seem preety high. Baby dust to us all...

Hey daisyclara, I am actually still in the early stages of testing. Sounds like you have been through a lot. my husband has been tested and I had and HSG. I'm going to wait a few mths and see what happens. My husbands sperm count was 34 million. A little low I think. Doctor says not to worry. He says 64 million is normal. my husband is going to start taking vitamins this week. Not sure what my next step will be. Now, the girl I work with is having her IUI on Sat. She took clomid for 5 days and now they will do the IUI. Was everything you had done expensive. I will pray for you. You should know something soon right? I got some good news today. My best friend just found out that she was pregnant(2 mths). She only stopped BC pills for 4 days. She forgot to take them. Explain that. We try and try and she missed only 4 days and is now pregnant. Also good luck faith4jada

Hi dbarnes, the meds for the IUI were not bad since we just took clomid and now femara but the sperm washing was $175.00 and the IUI was $230.00. It is not nearly as high as doing injectable drugs with can cost up to $1000.00 or more plus they often do ultrasounds with the injectables to check on the progress of you eggs and how many you release and the ultrasounds are close to $300.00 each time. We do not have insurance coverage for any of this so I think we are going to keep with the femara and IUI for the next few months and see what happens. I am on cd7 past ovulation so hopefully this will be the month! Reading about all of the success after the HSG test gives me a lot of hope. I wish you lots of luck!

I hope you don't mind if i jump right in here... I had an sonohysterogram this past Thursday, pretty much the same thing as a HSG. Is it okay to ttc this same cycle or should I wait a cycle. I thought my doc told me to wait one cycle but i'm not sure! Thanks!

AllieP, I had my HSG done on 9-21 and an IUI on 9-29. I had a positive OPK on 9-28. My doctor didn't say anything about waiting a month. She told me that there is a higher chance of getting pregnant for the 3 months following the test. I don't know how your test differs but I would definately check with your doctor before you skip a month so you don't miss out on the window of increased fertility. The HSG is supposed to flush out the tubes and any "cobwebs", so to speak, as well as change the Ph inside to help the sperm. I wish you tons of luck.

hey AllieP. I had an HSG and I ttc the same month. I think it is ok. But might want to ask your doctor. DaisyClara let me know if you get the BFP. Good luck to both of you.
