Well, I went to the doctor today, no luck again. And I've got to find a new doctor, he wants me to have another c-section if I do get pregnant. I'm not going to do that without a medical reason. So, I'm in the process of looking for a certified nurse-midwife, and another doctor who supports VBAC. This should be a fun week for me. How is everyone else?

Hey Milissa - I had a dental appt this am (3 cavities needed to be filled - need to stay away from candy during af) then I had an all employee meeting when I got to work. Just sat down at my pc, answered a couple e-mails and thought I'd get on. I think your cervix is supposed to be high during pg? I'll look and tell you what I find. Who knows. I'm a little disgruntal right now. Mine is high, and still now egg white. WHAT THE HELL!!!!!

Hey Jill, I would also find another doctor. I LOVED my midwife. She was awesome. With my next (since I've moved and had to change doctors) we're going to go with my gp. She's also an ob and can deliver. I lover her to death and she is more concerned about where I am (mentally) and what I want with my body rather than what she wants. Good luck.

Hi Joby. I just started actually using a chart. It's kind of a pain huh? :-) We also started in Jan. Welcome to the board. :-)

Ok Milissa, here is what I found. The feel of your cervix is much softer now almost like touching your bottom lip. This is an indication of your peak or most fertile time. The cervix will remain high until you ovulate - after which estrogen subsides and the hormone progesterone is released causing your cervix to return to its low. closed and hard position. *** So, I would then assume that if your were pg it would be low, hard, and closed. Has yours got high and soft this cycle yet?

I am now in the process of looking for a midwife, and trying to figure out if my insurance covers it. I'm not going to stop going to my doctor, I just also want to see a midwife. He is a really great doctor, he just said that he "strongly discourages" VBAC. It's just that if I were to go past my due date, he would automatically want another section. That's my problem. I'd give it about a week and a half past due before I'd consider a c-section. He's not the same doctor I went to when I was pregnant with my son. I switched because she never had appointments open if something came up. But she did my c-section low transverse so that I could have a VBAC and I'm determined to do it. I know that having a midwife or doula with you during labor helps increase your chances of having a VBAC so I'm doing everything I can to stack the odds in my favor. I just don't think my doctor realizes that I know all the risks of a trial of labor. He said it's up to me, as long as I know he won't induce or augment my labor with Pitocon or anything else.

Milissa, I don't know anything about how your cervix is during pregnancy except it turns a purple-blue color after the baby implants.
