Hey Amyell428, I am 24 from Seattle, WA... I have no children and have NEVER conceived. Always wondered why but never really wanted to be (that was before Jesus!) My dh and I have been ttc for over 2 years now and I am just READY!

Hey Wannababy, I am so glad to hear for you. I thought everyone out there had left me. LOL. Hang in there girl, we will get our baby, even if it drives us crazy and our husbands crazy too. I have conceived twice and knowing that I can conceive is a good thought but going through a miscarriage was horrible. I have friends that have baby's that were pregnant when I was and I think somedays, wow, I should have a about to be 2 this month and delivering the 2nd one next month. But, for some unknown reason, God has a bigger and I hope better plan for us. So, in just knowing that you can conceive is not always a pleasant thought. Hang in there, keep the faith and known that I will always check this post if you ever want to vent. I will always listen. Are you trying now? Joe, my DH, and I will begin trying thiis month. AF should be here next week and then we will try. That is, if the dr says we can. He just started me on Metformin and he wants me to be on that for 30 days. My ovulation time should be on 32 days after starting the medicine. He may actually ask us to wait 1 more month. I thought I would be terribly upset about that but since starting the medicine about 2 weeks ago, I have lost 15 pounds. How amazing is that? WHOO HOO! I am not sure how long the wait loss will continue but I want to be as heathly as I can. Time will tell what God has in store for us and for yall too. (HA HA - yall, I am from Alabama and the word yall just comes natural) Take care and I will keep you in my prayers. By the way, what is your name? Amy

has anyone ever bled nonstop from taking the metformin? i'm really freakin out n i dont know what to do. i had a period n 15 days later i started bleeding again. then yesterday i didnt bleed but for the first part of the day (i forgot to take my medicine yesterday) then this morning when i took my medicine about a half an hour after i took it i started bleeding again.. its just really weird cuz when i did have regular periods i never bled like that i had periods but my usual cycle was about 30 days or so it usually took longer for me.

Oh that would be great wannababy, I hope so too. I, on the other hand, want AF to wait for atleast a week maybe 5 days. Joe is headed out of town next Tuesday for 10 days, so if I start too early he will miss my ovulation time and I will have to wait another month. That is not going to be good, but if I have to find something positive about it, I will have another month to loss some weight. That can't be all bad. I guess I will just have to leave it all in God's hands.--------------KWall - I am on Metformin and I have not started bleeding or anything. That sounds weird. Have you called the Doctor? hi. my name is amy i am 21 and have been diagnosed with pco...i have been on metformin since jan... i got pregnant in march had a mc in april and still continue to take this med....after reading all the stories on here...i feel that i had the mc because my dr. took me off the med when i got pregnant... I hate taking this med. because i have the worst side effects...i want to have a baby but the side effects are so strong for me... & my dr. said these was the lowest dose..i dont know what to about taking this med. any addvice??

Hey Amylove, this is Amy also...LOL. I also have PCOS and I am on Metformin. I have gotten used to the med and I am on 2000 mg a day. I must tell you though, I was sick at first. I try to take mine and then go to sleep for awhile. This is pretty easy for me at the moment because I teach kindergarten and I am off for the summer. My husband wakes me up before he leaves for work and gives me my meds and then I go back to sleep. I try to also take them a little before bed at night. I think that is the only way that my body got used to them. Also, if I take them to close together I am sickkkkkk! I hope things get better for you. I am sorry about your loss. I have had 2 miscarriages also. Baby dust for you! Amy

hello to the two Amys. My name is Amy also. I am on 1700mg of metformin. *50 twice a day.Amyell, how do you take 2000? Is it four 500 mg daily? I am wondering if I can ask my RE to bump me up some. I lost 6 pounds the first week on Metformin. Amyell, if you get pregnant, do you plan on staying on 2000mg after conception? I didn't know if most docs want to lower the does after conception. I also have PCOS.
