My first IUI was May 5 and I got my BFP on May 18, blood test confirmed at Doc May 19!! My partner (female) and I are over the moon :)

Hi All :) My partner (female) and I just started this month. IUI was done on the 14th and 15th of May. So just last week! I've had some weird symptoms going on but don't know if it's all in my head. I want to take a HPT this weekend but figure it'll be too early to detect anything.
Kelly-Marie - You'll have to let us know what happens!
jamers - positive test WOOO! You got it on the first shot. That's what we're hoping for! We'll see the dr keeps telling us that only 30% get it on the first try.

kotkot005, I was on Clomid, 50mg for 3 mos and 100mg 1 month. I did ovulate, but no pregnancy. I am now taking 150mg of Clomid as well as 1500mg glucophage. I had my 1st IUI last month, no success. I did have good results witht he clomid though, 5 follies. So, this month we are going to try the same thing and I will probably have my next IUI next week, hopefully this one will be the charm.

I had clomid 50mg from day 3-7 and then i went for my daily blood monitoring and ultrasound. I had 10mm follicle on day 10 ( the first monitoring day) and i was given 2 days off.
then the follicle started to grow and my Estrogen was rising in the way it was suppose to. but by day 17, I dint surge so i had the ovedril (hcg injection given at 10pm) to trigger my ovulation and 2 days after I had my IUI done. I could feel myself ovulating that day. i was so happy
after 2 days i was feeling bloated,tired and lower back pain.
i thought i got pregnant after 7 days when i kept having to urinate frequently. I did a home pregnancy test which came back negative after 10 days past IUI . After 13th day past ovulation, I had stomach cramps as if I was going to have my period but it stoped the next day. 15 days past ovulation, I was damn sure i was pregnant coz with my stomach cramps, i dint get my period.
But 1 day later , my period came.
This is my second cycle. They put me on Femera for day 3 (3 capsule), Clomid Day 3-7 (50mg) and till day 19th I didnt surge but i have 3 follicles now. I have having he Hcg injection on day 19th (today) my IUI is scheduled for 21st day. I will let you know how it goes.
It would be helpful to know people who have done IUI to share their stories.

I HAVE TOOK FEMARA 2.5 DAYS 4-8 AND I DID THE HCG TRIGGER SHOT THIS MORNING..WE WILL DO TH IUI TOMORROW FOR THE 1ST TIME..I HAVE PCOS AND ENDO, I HAD THE LAP DONE IN MAY, STAGE 1, NO REASON FOR NOT GETTING PREGOS, MY HUSBANDS SPERM IS THRU THE ROOF AND I OVULATE ON MY OWN!! I HOPE IT WORKS! WISH ME LUCK!!

I did a cycle of injectables with back-to-back IUI's and got PG on the first try. That was last year and I now have a 14 month old little girl. I am currently 30 weeks PG with boy/girl twins after doing 4 cycles of injectables with back-to-back IUI's. Two months prior to getting PG with my daughter, I had a laparoscopy done to see what was going on in this belly of mine. I had mild to moderate endo all over the place, so the doc cleaned it all up and we were PG not even two months later. Had the doctor not cleaned up the endo, I don't know if I would have gotten pregnant so easily the first time. It's hard to say what really helped the most....could have been the shots for all I know. What we do know is the combo of what we did worked, so we decided to try for our next child the same way instead of going through two more years of guessing, wishing, crying, and endlessly trying on our own. OOOOHH MAN!! I DID THE IUI 5 DAYS AGO AND THE WAIT IS KILLING ME! HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT TO TAKE A HPT??

It really helps to read about others experiences and give you hope that you're not alone and that someday you too will have a little one. I was on clomid for 5 times and it didn't work. We tried IUI just last month for the first time, the home pregancy test came out negative but i'm still not sure b/c I still haven't gotten my period. Not really sure what to do next...any suggestions? any similiar experiences?

has anyone done laproscopy to see why you can't conceive? I have done 3 IUI's, done the femara and I have PCOS. If anyone has any info, i would appreciate it.

Hi ladies. My husband and I have unexplained infertility and have been trying for 1 year. I am wondering the age range of all the participants here -- I am 36 and was tested with FSH level of 13. I underwent my first IUI on Friday, 18 December and hope that you can share success stories for yourself if you are my age and have a borderline egg reserve. Before my IUI I developed 4 follicles with the meds and am not sure what my chances are? I know the next two weeks will be the longest in my life! Good luck to all of you, remember you are not alone!

We have been trying for more than a year and I am 28.5 now . The reasons why we are unsuccessful is that our insersion never happened properly and doc told me that I have contracted muscles .
We are going for IUI in this cycle .Hoping to be positive in first try . Can anybody tells me how % chances . My husband sperm count is good and I have also undergone all tests and they are also fine

I have been married for 2 years now and also a PCOS case.. I did 2 IUIs this month (on 16th and 17th)... My Doc did a complete ovulation cycle with me with constant monitoring of the follicles.. I had got my periods on 1st Jan. I am just hoping to have positive results...

My 4th IUI, but first time using Letrozole, worked! We did 3 unsuccessful attempts using Clomid, but it was making my uterine lining to thin. After changing from the Gynos care to the Endocrinology specialist who swtiched me to Letrozole pills along with Follistem shots (3), I produced 2 mature follicles. I had IUI completed 36 hours after doing the HCG shot. Using the Letrzole/Follistem combo, I both ovulated and had a thick enough uterine lining to allow the embryo to implant.

hello guys...I am new to this forum....I was reading thru it and trying to keep myself hopefull I just had my IUI and am in 2ww...boy!!! this is difficult....I have to go for the progesterone check this friday..please wish me luck..and congrats to all who are preg...

I wanted to just encourage you girls to keep trying. 2 years ago this forum gave me hope and today I have a healthy bubbly 1 year old daughter. I conceived at my third IUI attempt, I was getting discouraged but this forum helped alot so I want to tell you don't give up!
