Can a blood pregnancy test give you a false negative at 12 dpo????

The HCG hormone is produced by the yolk sac(placenta) of the embryo(baby). The baby does not attach to the uterus until 6 to 10 days past ovulation. Once implanted and giving off HCG hormones the amount doubles every two days for the first trimester. It is possible to be pg but not registering on a blood test at 12 days past ovulation.
