Hey ladies,
EHK sorry to hear about the BFN, but I am excited for you to try again this month. Take my advice, and try to picture the best outcome... I think it helps :)
Stacey, my Dr. said anything over 10 was normal and I think I was at 40 so I didn't need them, but at least it's the suppositories and not the shots, they are huge and hurt according to my multiple mama friends.
Sending prayers and hugs to you guys:) BTW when do you test?

EHK, they didnt tell me to lay down 30 min. after but it makes sense to do that, i usually snooze for 20 minutes so thats doable! haha sounds like a good plan! did u have the ectopic with your first IUI? when do u start the follistim? btw, walgreens specialty pharmacy online has the cheapest price I have found for follistim if your insurance doesnt cover it. its like $254 for a 300 iu cartridge.

Erin, I test on wednesday, so less than a week! EEEK!!!!! Its a beta at the RE. I am not going to take a HPT, I am just going to wait till they call me on wednesday! Thanks for the prayers and hugs, they are much needed!

Erin- Thanks for thinking about me. It's hard to be positive at this point with so many disappointments but I am going to try to keep my chin up!

Stacy- I think that they wanted me to lay down just so that the suppository would melt first before walking around. I like to snooze a little too before I get up. Sooo not a morning person :)

I had the ectopic on a cycle with Clomid, Ovidrel and timed intercouse. This was back in April. Since then I have had one IUI with Femara, the second one with Femara, Follistim and Ovidrel and then this will be my third IUI, this time with just Follistim and ovidrel. I started the Follistim last night.

Thank you so much for the info on the meds. My insurance actually pays for all my medication but that may be helpful info for anyone else reading whose insurance does not cover them!

I am so excited for your Beta next week! How are you feeling?

Well oh my goodness the progesterone twice a day has my hormones on a roller coaster ride! Haha! Did progesterone make y'all crampy at all? I have read it makes people cramp. I am crampy at times, usually after I take it in the am. I am mood swinging all over the place and my boobs are so sore. I feel so bloated and my face is like I'm 14 again from pimples!!! HORMONES!!!! Other than that i feel good! :) getting nervous about my beta!

How's the shots going EHK?

EHK - November 13

Hey Stacy! I hate the prog. has you on a roller coaster! I can't remember the progesterone making me crampy but I'm sure it affects everyone differently! I DO however remember being bloated but I am always bloated on these fertility drugs so it's hard to know which one is making me bloated. I bet you are sooo ready for your beta! I know I am :)

The shots are going ok. For some reason the needle hurts more this round. I think all in all I am just more sensitive to things this cycle. That's how I know if this doesn't work that I need a break. I feel like such a baby right now. I feel like I'm on the verge of tears all the time. I know it's just the months of fertility drugs that are catching up to me! Sorry to be such a negative Nancy!! At night I have been practicing praying for everything I am thankful for rather than praying for what I want and don't have. I really feel like it has helped with the anxiety in this whole process. I wake up feeling so much more level headed.

Keep me updated Stacy! I can't wait for Wednesday!!!!

stacy1225 - November 13

I hate how these fertility drugs plus having to go through the stress of infertility treatment makes us feel like that! I felt like that a whole lot!! Being thankful with your prayers is such a wonderful thing to do! It does help! I try to do the same but I usually mention the whole baby thing somewhere in my prayers haha! I also try to pray for other people and their babies and pregnancies as well! I dont want to have a jaded heart everytime someone I know gets pregnant although its hard! I am keeping you in my prayers for sure! I will certainly post as soon as I know something wednesday!

EHK - November 16

Stacy, I wanted to let you know that I am thinking about you and can't wait to hear the results! I have a really good feeling about you!! Will say a prayer for you tonight.

stacy1225 - November 16

Well, its a negative! :( Gosh, this sucks so much!!! Its so frustrating and heartbreakiing each time! Meeting with RE tomorrow to discuss plan for this coming up cycle, I think we are going to mix DH sperm with donor sperm if RE thinks its a good idea. Will post the plan tomorrow!

EHK, how are the shots going? when do u go for a follicle check? Praying for you and your cycle!

EHK - November 16

I'm so sorry Stacy. I know the heartache that you are feeling right now all too well. Just remember that it takes on average 3-4 IUI's to work if they are going to work (according to my RE). Try not to get too discouraged. Just try to look forward to this new cycle with optimism since it's a new beginning.

My shots are still going pretty well. I go in tomorrow for my follicle check. I am really curious to find out what is going on in there since we upped the Follistim dosage this month. I will let you know how is goes!

Try to keep your head up sister!

Erin3015 - November 17

Sorry to hear about the BFN Stacey, keep your head up! You never know what will happen next month! Xoxo

EHK - November 17

Well I had my follicle study today and it looks like I have 8 follicles with 2 taking the lead (thank goodness! the last thing I want is high order multiples!!) They also lowered my Follistim dosage to 50 a night and I go back for another check on Monday. They said I may start to ovulate on my own on Sunday and they will be able to tell Monday. If that's the case, we will just have my husband come in right after me for a deposit :) and I will come back later that day. I really hope something crazy doesn't happen and I ovulate on Saturday. It would be really nice if they were open on Saturdays to check but unfortunately they are not. I was also instructed to not BD after Fri just in case DH does have to leave a deposit on Monday.

EHK, how did it go yesterday?

So, I have received a lot of news since my BFN. I went back last thursday to RE to discuss plan and I thought we had a good plan in place. She wanted to check DH for a varicocele that day which was negative. Also, yesterday wanted me to bring in a sperm sample to do a sperm antibody test. I also got an u/s to start the cycle, well I have a 4cm cyst on my ovary so they told me I couldnt do anything this cycle, no exercise or anything, Just rest. Then the RE herself called me yesterday afternoon to tell me the my hubby has large amount of antibodies causing the heads of the sperm to stick together meaning they cant penetrate the egg. She said IUI's were no longer an option. She wants us to come in a week from today to discuss the options but she mentioned IVF. boo!!! I was devastated yesterday, cried all day!:( this whole process is unbelievably emotional! We are thinking we will prolly try IUI with donor sperm but I dont know for sure yet (DH is totally fine with it but I just want to make sure he is before we proceed to that). I just cant imagine spending 20k on IVF and it not working, that would be so devastating. I will post when I know what we are going to do.

EHK, I still want to follow your cycle so keep posting, I am praying for you! I hope this is your time! :)

EHK - November 22

Hey Stacy! I have been thinking about you lately and wondering how you were doing. I am so sorry for all the discouraging news lately. Isn't it crazy how many different things can get in the way of fertility? So if you do the IVF are they thinking they can use your husbands sperm or will you still have to use donor? Does your Dr's office have any kind of rule where they will return your money if the procedure doesn't work? I don't think mine does but I have heard of other RE's that do. Just keep an open heart and mind and pray hard. You will be led to do the right thing!! I just know that everything will work out for you. You will have your baby, it's just a matter of how. And when you do have your baby, you will be so much more of an appreciative and patient mom than you would be if you hadn't gone through all of this!

As for me, I am having my 3rd IUI tomorrow. I am a little nervous because it seems like I have a lot of follicles! My nurse said it looks like I have about 5 mature follicles in size but my E2 levels were 830. I have heard that there is an E2 level of around 200 for every mature follicle that contains a good egg. Sounds like there should be about 4 floating around...eeekk!!! I really do not want triplets but my nurse told me that my RE is not concerned about that. Even twins scare the crap out of me!!
