whitney412: I'm sorry to hear that AF showed. I hope that this next cycle goes better for you. ~~baby dust~~
Update on me: I'm almost done with my 2WW - I test on Saturday. I'm doing the BBT right now so if my temp doesn't dip on Friday morning I'm going to do my HPT Friday. I'm super nervous I guess my follie is larger than they would like it was at 29mm in diameter but b/c my estrogen level was at 175 they said it was okay.

Wow, it's been so long since I've been on here. Congrats to all the BFPs!!
That's awesome!
Patty49, good luck to you. I hope that on Saturday you get that second pink line!!
Update on me: I had a chemical pregnancy in May after doing one round of Clomid 100mg, and 2 back to back IUIs. It's great that I got pregnant but very sad that it didn't stick. Since then I've had to wait for my beta to go down and for af to come. AF finally came this past Saturday and I have now started taking Femara 5mg cd3-7. I go back on Monday to start monitoring and hopefully follies will begin to grow so we can do another set of IUIs before the end of the month. DH and I and some friends are going to Vegas on July 29th so I'm hoping to do the IUI before then or else we'll just have to time bding.
Has anyone experienced any side effects from Femara? I took it last night for the first time and I woke up this morning feeling very sluggish and dazed. I'm also experiencing a pretty bad headache.
Baby dust to everyone!!

Chorona - I'm glad that you started your next cycle so that you can get back to it. I pray your 2nd IUI brings you a stickie bean!
Unfortunately AF showed this afternoon :( 11DPIUI I guess my luteal phase isn't 14 days even with the hcg trigger shot. I'll be asking for a 7 day progesterone check next time. I'm switching my medication this cycle as well. I was taking 100mg clomid days 3-7 and we are switching me letrozol. Keep us posted - I check back often but don't post as much as before. Good Luck and lots of baby dust!!

I just had my first IUI a few hours ago! I just started my 2ww and it already sucks! My DH and I were very excited until they told us his count was only 1.3 million after washing. I did clomid days 3-7, an ultrasound on day 11, and I had two mature follicles at 19 and 20mm. They gave me the hcg trigger shot and brought me in today (d12) and did the IUI. It was almost completely painless!
I hope it is God's timing for our little family to start... we for sure are ready!

Morenas 1: Thank you so much for recommending the book The Secret. It has totally changed my out look on things. Before I was always, why me? why is everyone else getting pregnant and I can't? Now, after reading the book I know that I am the creator of my own destiny. I am having my second IUI in about a week and I know it will work! Thank you so much!

Whitney412 You are very welcome, it has totally changed the way I look at things now and how I deal with them day to day. I feel happier, more positive and totally optimistic.
Every day I thank the universe for the things I am grateful for and ask for the things I want in life, I feel like a different person, I don't feel negative and don't let the people around me bother me with their comments or actions anymore, I know I am the one building my own destiny.
I am now on my fifth day of injectables (gonal-f) after femara, I have a us schedule tomorrow at 8am to see how many follies I have this time around and I know I will be having twins or triplets, because that is what I want :) wil keep you all posted.
God bless everyone and lots of baby dust.

Hi ladies,
Patty49: Sorry to hear that AF showed up. :( I hope your next cycle works. The worst part is all of the waiting around for things to happen. I think you may have better luck on Letrozole.
I took 5mg Letrozole for cd3-7. I experienced some side effects, headaches, nausea, dizziness, and definite mood swings. Those are all worth it if the outcome is a good one! :)
Today is cd10 and I went in for u/s and b/w. They found 3 follies!!!!! 2 on my right 15mm and 13.5mm, and 1 on my left 16mm. The awesome thing is that I knew that stuff was happening on the right side because I could feel little sharp pains every once in a while. DH told me that if they didn't find anything he wouldn't believe me anymore. I showed him!!!
Anyway, so now I have to go in every day for monitoring. I have a feeling that we'll be doing the IUI either Wednesday or Thursday and hopefully this one will stick!!
GraceL: Don't be discouraged because his coutn was low. All you need is 1 sperm so if there are over 1million then the chances are good. Remember that with the IUI all of the sperm gets into your uterus!
When do you test? Keep us posted.
whitney and morenas: I agree with you guys. The power of positive thinking is huge! Godo luck to you both.
Baby dust all around!

Hi everyone!
I just thought I would give a quick but BIG update.
Went for my 8 week ultrasound to check for viability and found a "few" big surprise. Looks like my DH and I are expecting triplets. Something tells me this is the exception to the rule when it comes to Clomid. I pray everything goes great, they are all measuring the right size and have strong heartbeats at 161, 165 and 165. I can't believe this is happenning.
I believe shock has completely set in.
Good luck to everyone!!!

Congrats bm83!!! OMG I am so happy for you and your hubby...such a blessing, I always wanted to have twins or triplets. YAY!!
In another news I went for my US yesterday and seems like I have 9 maybe ten follies ranging in sizes from 9mm to 13mm, was instructed to start ovulation kits and 2 more days of meds, going back on wed. to monitor and I am thinking we will be doing the IUI this weekend. I can't wait.
I might be making a baby/ies this weekend.

morenas1: we may be on the same cycle!!
I went in today (cd11) for daily monitoring. I have 4 follies, 19mm, 16mm, 14.5mm, and 12mm. I go back tomorrow to see if LH is going up. If not I may get the trigger shot and probably do back to back IUIs Thurs and Fri, or maybe Fri and Sat. Either way, it's happening by this weekend! We'll be on the 2ww together!!!!
Good luck to you and keep us posted! It's nice to have someone else on the same cycle!

wow congrats bm83!! I can't believe how quickly my view on multiples has changed... I went from completely fearing having more than one to secretly hoping for twins. Chorona, I'm going to test either Sat the 31st or Sun the 1st. they said 15 days from the iui which was on a saturday, so i think sunday is the day I really should be doing it, but our sundays are so busy with church stuff that saturday would be a much better day to celebrate! Do you think that is too early? two weeks post iui? I really don't want a false positive because I tested too early. That would be horrible. Thanks for your encouragement about my DH's count... my mom sent me a text a few hours ago saying she looked it up on web md, and that usually, only a couple hundred sperm even make it to the uterus... and we threw 1.3 million straight in there! haha. I know that if it's God time for us to start our family the count won't matter... so i focus on that.
So today is day 4 of my 2ww.. and I did NOTHING but sit on my butt all day. I know being busy would make it better but I spent all day on the computer reading about pregnancy and babies. Not sure how my husband will take it when he gets home in a little bit and looks around and realizes I did nothing.
Good luck everyone who is preparing for their iuis this week!

GraceL: Your mom is completely right. Try not to stress too much about it (easier said than done, I know). As you say, if it's God's plan then it will happen. He won't throw anything at you that you can't handle. :-)
I wouldn't test too early. Wait until the 15 days. Do you test yourself at home or do you go to your doctor? If you go to the doctor then they can test your beta as well. Not only will you get the pregnancy results but if you are pregnant then the beta will let you know if it's a viable pregnancy or not. Good luck to you! :-)
I'm also secretly hoping for twins. Especially if it were a boy and girl. DH already said that he would get a vasectomy if that were to happen. haha
Well, I'm doing the first of 2 IUIs tomorrow. Went in today and I have one follie on the right at 20mm and one follie on the left at 24mm. I have a lot more than those, but they're much smaller. The nurse is really happy with the two big ones and she said that it's the optimal scenario to have 1 in each ovary so that the sperm have a higher change to reach either side. She'll be giving me the Ovidrel shot tomorrow to trigger ovulation because they don't want the follies to get too big. Then we go back Friday for a second IUI to help increase our chances.
I pray to God that this time it works again and that it sticks. I don't know how I will handle another chemical pregnancy...or a BFN. I have a very good feeling about this cycle so I'm keeping positive. :-)
Morenas1: I hope you get to do your IUI this weekend so then we'll be on the 2ww together!
Baby dust everyone!!

chorona, I went for my ultrasound today and looks like mine were not big enough to trigger so I have to do 2 more days of injectables and possibly trigger on friday and do IUI's sat/and back to backthe nurse wanted to be conservative as I already had 4 leadin follicles between 14/16 mm but I guess she spoke to the dr and she wants to be more aggressive so I don't know how many follicles I will have this coming friday, I am guessing maybe 6 or 8 by the time I ovulate.
Grace, keep up the positive attitude, we all due fo that BFP result...I know this is the charmed one for all of us :)
Good luck ladies..hugs and lots of baby dust.

Hi ladies,
Just wanted to ask all of you to pray for me. I'm officially in my 2ww. I did an IUI yesterday and one today. Yesterday morning I had one follie on left at 27mm and one follie on right at 21mm. When I went in today to do the second IUI they were both gone, so I ovulated yesterday afternoon into the evening.
This is the second set of IUIs that I've done. The first set back in May were painless and quite easy. This time I wasn't as lucky. My cervix was not opening up and to top it all off my cervix is tilted, making things more difficult. Yesterday the dr had to give me a break because it was too painful to bear, plus the colour was draining out of my face and he thought I was going to pass out. When he went back in again, it was quick and easy. Today, if it were possible, was way worse than yesterday. 2 drs came in to the room and they had to use a tenaculum to pull my cervix. OMG it was by far the most painful thing I have ever experienced. I had to lie for 20 minutes after and my nurse had to put ice on my forehead. I couldn't go back to work and had to come home.
I hope this is the last time that I have to go through this. If I have to go through this again, I'm asking for pain medication before the IUIs.
It's all worth to have a baby and I know that childbirth is much more painful, but at least with child birth I know that it will hurt. I wasn't expecting this today. So now the 2ww begins. I'm taking progesterone supplumentation. Afte the last IUI I took teh suppositories twice a day adn they were quite messy but it was cheaper. This time around I'm trying the Crinone gel which is only a day and not as messy. It's way more expensive but luckily my work insurance covers 75% of the cost, so I will spurge on the other 25%.
Oh, almost forgot. If any of you ladies have the opportunity to have an IUI along with an ultrasound at the same time, DO IT! It's so cool to see the sperm being injected and then go toward the openings of the fallopian tubes.
Baby dust to everyone!!!
