Well, Aunt Flo showed up this morning. Not sure if we will try again this month as we found out hubby lost his job. Not a very good Valentine's, but we'll pick ourselves up by the boot straps and keep on trucking. Baby Dust to ALL, and good luck!

I've decided that I am going to take this month off after the cyst. I feel like my body needs a break, so I won't go in for my 2nd IUI until late March. I will keep checking the forum and I hope to hear many success stories from all of you! Babydust to all! :)

For all of you getting the BFN's, don't lose hope. I only had 1 mature follicle, and did injectables, and was successful on the first iui..it DOES happen.

Hi Mrs.JJ, sorry to hear about your husband but I am still happy that you are keeping a positive outlook. See if you can monitor your ovulation on your own and something may happen :) Baby dust to you.

I am going nut this week reading and researching...so my cycle is 37 days on the spot for years now, with ovulation around about 16 days before AF. My RE gave me clomid days 5-9 this cycle, but when I went in on day 12, I only had a couple mature follies at around 13mm and went in again on D14 and had a 15mm. now, normally, I am not set to even ovulate a FULL week from the 14th. But my RE said he wanted to call the cycle a "non-response" and wait until AF came to start again. I was not having it. From what I read Clomid is supposed to ENHANCE ovulation, but not completely reroute your cycle to a normal 28 day schedule. Why in the world would I give up what could be a perfectly good cycle just to do the same thing next cycle, and have the same response? I fought to go back in on Fri for another U/S to see if my follies are better, with IUI on around day 21, which is when I should normally ovulate. Anyone else have have a situation like this? It really upset me that he wanted to give up so soon, when I haven't even ovulated yet! I am paying for EVERYTHING out of pocket, which means giving up is MUCH more expensive than adding another U/S. I was ready to JUMP through the phone on monday....ugg.

Hi YellowMutt. My nurse said that we do not ovulate every month hence the reason I may not have any mature follicles this month. I will go back tomorrow for another U/S to verify. I think that you should take the advice of the RE and wait until next month which would give you a better chance. Would you still have to pay for the U/S they did this month?

CAI, yes, I have already paid for the U/S's i've done (2), and for this cycle...and the meds. The prepaid cycle is about a grand, and meds around $120. and a LOOOONG time to wait. so, I can either pay about 400 and do another U/S, or give up the grand I paid this cycle, and pay another grand for next cycle....when I don't normally ovulate so early anyway. Our IF issues are not with me...they are with My SO who is Azoospermia. So...as far as I am concernced, other than my long cycles, I am good to go, yet my RE is treating me like I am infertile. which is fine, anything helps, but I just don't think the clomid is going to force a 37 day cycle into 28 days like magic. I am going in on Friday, and yup, I could be wrong, and my follies could still be small...BUT, I feel like I have to because I don't want to waste what could be a perfectly good cycle. I guess we will see...I just can't wait for Friday to get here!

Hi YellowMutt, I didn't know that you had to prepay so if that is the case I can't wait for Friday to hear how your IUI went. I trust that by then your follicles would have matured to about 18mm. Here is wishing you some baby dust. You may be the one with the success story :)

I also had my first IUI this month. I had 2 follicles, one was 30mm and the other one a bit smaller. I just had my progesterone checked yesterday and the results are good- 65.22. I will know if it's successful by the end of next week. Thank you for all your responses. Good luck to everyone

Thanks CAI, I really hope so too....I can't afford to do too many rounds, so I am hoping that we can get this to work sooner rather than later! One more day, and I am either gonna be really happy, or really bummed out. CAI, I will be thinking about you tomorrow too! I hope so much that it works for you this round too!!

Hi dk10. When did you have your iui? You could do a HPT about 13 days after the iui.
