Hi Harrisongoodall. My AF actually came of the same day I was to be pregnant :) Feb 5, exactly 28 days cycle. I am hoping that my timing is spot on. Here goes, Go get ultrasound on Feb 17, injection to induce ovulation on Feb 18 and iui on Feb 19. I will do an ovulation test on my own on Feb 17 and 18 to make certain.

didnt realise unitll i have been looking in to this....u lot prob no ...so there are different injections you have before iui! i have follitropin beta (puregon) i have this from the second day of my period every night in my belly for around 8 days then final injection for ovulation, does any one have/do the same? so there are different types of drugs does any one no why??

hello.i found this forum by accident and thought what a great place to share experiences.we've been ttc seriously for 2 years, married for 5 but never used any protection. i have PCOS, conceived naturally in sept/08 and again april/09, but miscarried both at 6 weeks.did our 1st iui yesterday 8/2 and currently on the 2ww,but the doc wants me to do the BHCG 17/2.how early can you get a BFP?

Hi HSMN, welcome to the forum and I trust that the 2ww will past fast and will be positive for you. It is interesting that your doc want to do the BHCG test... from reading "Beta HCG "the pregnancy hormone" is produced by the cells of the implanting egg and can be produced in the absence of an embryo. Beta hCG can be detected in maternal plasma or urine by 8 to 9 days after ovulation."

I am going to call my doc to see if this is something I too can do to ensure that implantation occured. Thanks for the tip. I guess that at that point you should know if you are BFP as they say it should occur 9 - 12 days after ovulation. Keep us posted on any symptons.

Hi again Harrisongoodall, I guess because I am a coward and could not inject myself, my doc gave me tablets from days 2 - 5 of my cycle. Then I will have the Pregnyl® the day before the iui.

The day of your iui, did you ladies have to drink plenty of water?

CAI and harrisongoodall---i'm so sorry to read about the bfn's. i haven't logged on in a few days, so it looks like you're putting the bummer news behind you and focusing on next time. i will keep you again in my thoughts and fingers crossed for the next go. tryingtoconceive10---sorry to hear about the bfn on the hpt, but i think its too early for that to be conclusive. try to think positive. when do you have your blood test? i will be sending many positive thoughts your way. well, as for me, today is day 12 post my first iui and while i was doing well with the 2ww, today i broke and since i was out of the house for the first time in days (snow!) i bought a HPT. now its burning a hole in my purse and i keep toying with taking it. my blood appt is friday morning but i will definitely take at least one hpt before then. i will want to be prepared for the news, especially if its negative. overall, i haven't really felt any different which i'm taking as a bad sign (although a few friends who have babies insist that they didn't have early symptoms and were surprised to learn they were pregnant). Definitely some nipple soreness and wasn't hungry the few days right after the iui but now have a full appetite back. a few twinges in the belly here and there but since i'm paying such close attn now, its hard to be sure they are any different than normal. So.....the 2ww is now starting to feel like an eternity. i'm thinking of everyone out there and really appreciate you checking in on me. bigtime baby dust to all!

just broke down and took a HPT---BFN. grrrr.... anybody know of this happening and then getting a positive at the blood test?? wishful thinking i'm sure....

tryingtoconceive10---looks like we really are in the same boat!! where did you read about bfn's at day 12 and then bfp's at blood tests day 13-15?
