Hi everyone.

I have only signed up today after stalking your posts for quite some time looking for inspiration.
I have just finished by 3rd round of clomid:
1: days 5-9 50mg No Ovulation, extrememly bad headaches
2: days 5-9 75mg No Ovulation, again, BAD BAD headaches, then spotted for 5 weeks before AF came
3: days 5-9 100mg, was scared of the headaches but took it anyway, no side effects at all. Ovulated with extreme pain in both ovaries. Breasts become super sore around day 11, only subsiding around day 25/26. I am now on day 30 and have been cramping (feels like AF's coming by the end of the week) but all other symptoms except for bloating and gas, such as light headedness, fatigue, mucus, etc have subsided ( I did have a bad cold hit me a week ago too).
I am hoping that this works for me. I am 31, miscarried twice when I was 21 and havent ovulated since til this month. I have PCOS.

a friend of mine of clomid for 6 cycles, ended up on 200mg before ovulation occured and is no 5 months pregnant with a little girl, first ovulation, first pregnancy.

I am looking for some inspiration here girls.

ps. are clomid twins as rare as I keep hearing? my dr said it doesnt happen very often.

I am in Australia too, and am unfamiliar with a lot of your abbrev.
I know AF lol

Banaburay-

Have you tried clomid with HCG shot? I had clomid 100mg days 5-9 and then did a hcg shot as soon as I got a positive ovulation test... I got pregnant that month and now have boy/girl on clomid and it goes up to 20% when you add the hcg shot.

If anyone wants any advice on clomid or hcg shot msg me on facebook (jennah Williams- Chesterfield, UK) I am happy to help.

Clomid gives you around 10% chance of twins and when you add the hcg shot it goes up to 20% chance... and remember, even in a normal ovulating cycle there is only a 20% chance of getting pregnant, so don't be disheartened it it doesn't happen immediately... I should know, I was the queen of disappointment.... now I know it really can happen.

Lots of baby dust

Hi everyone. I am new to this forum, and its actually the first one that I signed up for. Everyone on here is so encouraging. Anyways, my DH and I have been trying for over a new now, and decided that we were going to try clomid. I started on Clomid 50mg days 2-6, and no luck. I am currently on my third day of round two. 100mg days 3-7. I am hoping that this is my lucky month! What are some vitamins or other things you used to help with the process? Any info would be great! Thanks!

Hello Everyone,
I was just recently told that I have PCOS :( I am trying to conceive so my ob put me on the generic version of Clovis 50 mg days 5-9 I just took day 9s pill today. I am very new to this. I was wondering does it work fast? as well twins runs in my family my mom is a twin and it skips generations so I was wondering is there a higher chance I could get pregnant with twins? I have so many questions lol. All I want is to be able to have a family soon, I know its going to take time. I was wondering if anyone has any advice as to certain positions, certain times in the day, what to eat (I'm on a good diet though), anything possible to help me be able to conceive. as well I am taking prenatal s already. Anything that anyone can tell me and help me out is greatly appreciated!! Thank yous!

Hi Jen30
Ive looked for you on facebook but no luck thus far.
Well, my update... AF never came, on Friday I'll be 8 weeks pregnant.
My husband & I have told our parents but thats it until the 3 month mark.
I want to get excited but am so scared at the same time.
I am ringing in the morning to see if I can get into get an ultrasound ASAP I think if I see a heart beat mine might start beating again lol
I had the worst cramping until about a week-10 days ago but now its subsiding, Ive had nausea, only actually been sick once but will dry retch off and on all days.
I will pee all day also. My boobs are still so sore and already up a cup size.
I wrote last time that I had a bad flu, keeping in mind I didnt know I was pregnant, I had a course of antibiotics as I had tonsilitis with my flu. I had kelfex (subconsciously I must of been thinking about it as I was told that its the only 'safe' antibiotic during pregnancy)
I was on a high dose and am frightened I might have done damage.
This pregnancy is my dream and its here- I am on panic mode of something being wrong.
Has anyone been in this position?
Tryin2beamommy
Clomid twins and genetic twins are different as clomid twins are two eggs vs one egg, but you never know- it might increase your chances :)

ps Ive been taking pregnancy vitamins as advised by drs but now Im scared as I was 5 weeks in that those 5 weeks without them may be damaging lol or am I over-thinking the whole thing

banaburay~ Thank you so much. I wasn't to sure about that but I hope so! :) and congratulations on your pregnancy!

Hello Ladies...I am new to the site and I must say that I absolutely love it! I love hearing all of your stories. Congratulations to those who have been blessed with little ones. My husband and I have been trying for almost 3 years now, and no luck. I just recently finished my first month of Clomid. I was given Provera to kick start my system, and then Clomid from day 5-9. I am really excited about Clomid, I haven't had any side effects yet, hopefully I don't experience any. I am just really glad to hear the success that you ladies have had on Clomid. And for those who are currently taking it, I would love to keep in touch with you on here and see how it works for you. It is great to have the opportunity to speak with others that are experiencing the same things as I am and have.

banaburay- I don't think that you have anything to worry about. You sound like you are alert enough to know if something isn't right. Don't stress, that is definitely not good for you or the baby. Just relax and enjoy your little blessing that is wiggling inside you :)

O-Baby

I had my ultrasound and so-far-so-good... 161 beats per minute and looking exactly as it should for the age, a blurry blob lol
I honestly dont think I will relax until Im holding it :)
I am trying to destress I know its not good for me or the baby but I cant help it sometimes- Im an overthinker

I had terrible headaches at 50 & 75mg on clomid but on 100mg (which made me ovulate) no side effects, nothing until the day I got ovulation pain, its was horrible but as it turns out it worked... :)

I wish you luck, I hope it works soon for you.

Tryingtobeamommy
keep me updated on how your going? :) and thank you for the well wishes.

Oh yeah, and the pregnancy is a singleton...

That is so good to hear. I am glad that everything is normal and on track. And I know exactly how you feel. I know that worrying and stressing over it is a normal thing, we just have to find ways to lower it. :) And trust me, I soooo know what you mean by being an overthinker...lol I myself seem to overthink everything when it comes to getting pregnant and hoping to be.

I am so glad that Clomid worked for you. Hearing your story makes me feel more positive about it. Thank you for sharing with me. I do have a question for you though....in your first three weeks how did your body feel? I mean, they say that all women are different...I am just curious. I am experiencing some symptoms that are like pregnancy symptoms....I think it is still too soon for a test though. I am wondering if it could just be hormones? Did you experience any pregnancy symptoms, but it turn out to be hormones?

I would love to hear how your pregnancy is going and how your doing....keep in touch.

banaburay - February 7

O Baby

:) Yes clomid definately gave me pregnancy symptoms-
I got headaches, sore boobs lol, a "little" emotional around cycle day 18, nausea... but the time I actually ovulated I didnt get any of these symptoms except for extreme ovulation pain and my husband & I had sex twice with the pain happening (2 days apart) and it was almost making me cry I was so sore.
About a week after the ovulation pain I got fatigue, frequent urination, headaches, cramped 24/7 (for the first 5 weeks), felt bloated and uncomfotable, extremely sore boobs to the point a bra was hurting me.
I think because 100mg worked the 50mg & 75mg dose was doing something to my hormones to give me the symptoms I had but not enough to actually ovulate.
Weird that the 100mg dose didnt give me any side effects.

I used to read peoples posts on here and see what cycles (or how many it took to ovulate) and whether they had a pregnancy from it or not and work myself up a bit. I began thinking 'what if it doesnt work for me', 'what if my eggs are good enough when I finally get some going- IF I get them going', etc. But so far I have proved my over-thinking wrong :)

I think those thoughts are natural when fertility is an issue. I have been wanting a baby for 10 years but never had the guts to go to the dr and begin a treatment. I think in case it didnt work.

I always wanted a big family but honestly I think if I just got one I'd be grateful and happy for the rest of my life :)

Its amazing when your body decided to react to clomid how quickly it starts working.. when I found out I ovulated I was so happy and extrememly proud that my body did what it was supposed to do as a woman lol I never expected a pregnancy from it. Its truly a big shock, good shock though.

I worry with everything, every ache, every weird feeling lol totally hopeless lol

O-BABY - February 9

banabury-

Well that makes me feel 100% better, hearing that you had pregnancy symptoms while taking Clomid. I thought I was going crazy there for a minute...lol But that is really good to hear.

I read peoples post on here and see that they have gotten pregnant on the first cycle of CLomid, and then there are others when it has taken up to 6 months or so. I am just like....WHAT!! Another 6 months?? lol But if that is what it takes I am ready to wait 6 months. I just really really wish it is sooner than 6 months!

Chatting with you has really helped me a lot already, thank you....I really appreciate it a ton! I am just glad that everything worked out for you.

How are you feeling? How is that sweet baby doing?

banaburay - February 9

O-Baby

what symptoms are you getting with clomid? It can be a harsh medication.
I am soooo happy I am helping you :) :) :)

I have been worried (shock-horror) as my symptoms are disappearing, not completely but noticably. Ive had 2 doctors tell me thats when to worry.

Im going to give it a couple of days to come good before I go to the dr, horrible feeling though.

Im hoping its just settling not actually disappearing.

I think once you reach the dose thats effective for you that it will work quite quick- its just finding that dose. Ive heard some doctors only increase doses by very small amounts therefore taking a lot longer to find the right dose.

I believe it will happen for you, and if its giving you symptoms then obviously your body is reacting to it :) ITS ALL POSITIVE SIGNS :)
