O-Baby, feel better! When I was pregnant with my son, I was sick just like you are explaining the week and a half before my missed period.... just sayin' ;)

Tomorrow I go in for an ultrasound to see how many follicles I have, and an estimated ovulation date, although with clomid, the I get a pain that signals I am ovulating. Later in the day I having an MRI with contrast (ink dye) done... I am nervous that it will somehow interfere with fertility... anyone know?

O-BABY I'm sorry that you're still not feeling well BUT I'm hoping those are all good signs that you'll be getting a positive test soon! How many more days until you can take a test?

Jac1019 - Good luck at your ultra sound! Let us know how those little follicles are doing ;)
And I'm sorry, I wish I could give you some info on the MRI and fertility, but I have no idea if it will affect it or not. I have a feeling it wouldn't interfer though!

jac1019-

Thank you. And that gives me hope, I am trying so hard not to read anything into it....lol I guess I just don't want to be highly disappointed again. But I can always hope, right?! :)

And I wish you luck with your follicle test :) And I too am not sure if the MRI would have an effect on fertility. I would just ask before you have the MRI done. Hope everything goes well :) Good luck!

hopefullysoon-

Thank you very much. I too hope that all this sickness is a good sign for a positive test :) It has been rough :( I will be able to take HPT on the 14th or 15th. Thats if AF doesn't show.

well im on cd 25 at the mo. bought myself pack of 2 pregnancy tests today, was thinking about testing in the morning, as the tests i bought can be used up to 6 days before your due on. i know the earlier you test the less accurate they are. would rather wait the extra 3 days, but now i have them i wont be able to stop myself.
o-baby.. when you took your first round of clomid, how long was your cycle. did it regulate to apx 28 days?
because before clomid my cycles increased to around 41 days, i know clomid brings on ovulation, so technicaly it should have forced my cycle to regulate, but cant help feeling that its too early for me to test. i cant train my thoughts.
well, i got a pack of 2 tests, so if tomorows a negative, i,ll test around 3 days after to be sure, if i dont get af first.
wish me luck... :)

mumstheword - good luck! my fingers and toes are crossed for you that af doesn`t come and that your test shows up positive!

I am also on clomid and yes it definitely shortens your cycles. I have PCOS and therefore don`t ovulate on my own so my cycles used to be about 3-4 months long. On clomid my cycls average 30 days. It just depends on when you ovulate on clomid to when you`ll get af. For my last cycle I got a positive opk test on cd16 which means I probably actually ovulated on cd17 or cd18. And I got af 27th (but started spotting the day before). So my last cycle was 31 days. If you count backward from the first day of af 14 days that`s the day you ovulated. So I would have ovulated the day after my opk test. Long story short = yes clomid will shorten your cycle :)

Good luck! Keep us posted on your tests!

mumstheword: do you know when you ovulated? Clomid helps you ovulate, and typically by about 5-10 days after taking it, according to the research I read. So, you can expect your AF to be around 14 days after when you ovulated. In your case, you can hope for AF NOT to be then ;) Last cycle I took clomid and ovulated on day 16; I experienced AF on day 30.

So, I just had my ultrasound and postcoital test today. My ultrasound reveals that I will most likely have about 3 eggs this cycle. The lining of my uterus was very good at 9 mm; however, my cervical mucus is hostile and has rendered my husband's sperm immobile/no good :( The good news is, that I will be going in for an IUI this weekend. This afternoon, after my blood tests come back, the nurse will come to confirm the day, most likely Sunday.

Hi Jen30. Congratulations on your pregnancy; it gives me more hope. My hubby and I have been trying for the last four years, 1 1/2 of those on Fertomid 50mg, but had no luck so far. I'm 37 with a 10 yr old son, and we are all desperate for another child. We'll keep trying!

mumstheword - March 5

so...woke up at 5am this morn desperate for a pee. wasnt due to get up till around 8:00am for work, so didnt want to test just then so tried to go back to sleep. ended up getting up at 6:00am cos i needed the loo sooo bad. i tested. i got a very faint POSOTIVE :) couldnt believe my eyes. it was so faint, but still a line. my partner "matt" and i were realy exited. while i was at work he bought me a "digital" test to be sure. it said on it to test on the day your period,s due, so was expecting it to say "not pregnant", but it didnt. it said "pregnant". so that confirms it. i,m pregnant. (1st round of clomid) yay. we,re so happy, and still in shock.
so after worrying for so long we wouldnt be able to concieve, i,m going to be worrying now for next few months about m/c. i shall try and stay posotive though. thanx for all your support you guys, and im praying for good news for all of you too. speak to you soon x x x

Mumstheword - thats amazing! Congratulations! So good to finally have some good news on here! Keep us posted on your pregnancy:)

jac1019 - March 5

mumstheword: congratulations! Your news is so exciting... keep us posted.

I had my first IUI today, and I have another one planned for tomorrow morning because ovulation is set to occur between this morning and tomorrow. My blood tests revealed that it would happen most likely today, but the ultrasound at the doctor's office today showed that they have yet to burst from the ovary. Hopefully this will be a good month of trying.

Anyone else with any news?

mumstheword - March 6

o-baby... not be long before you can test,i know the wait,s horrible. hope you get your posotive this month.
jac1019... exited you had the IUI, fingers crossed for you too.keep us posted.
hopefullysoon...good luck with the HSG soon. my cousin said it was uncomfortable, but nothing to worry about. and maybe this is just the thing you need, certainly helped my cousin.
me..i feel like im on my period, how ironic. tender boobs, bloated, slight cramping. i had these symptons before i found out i was pg, supose thats why i didnt tell anyone because i knew it could be af around the corner.
i still keep staring at the test now an again, unbelievable. we,re still debating to tell people yet as its realy early days.
i also feel quite guilty because i jumped on your site, shared your storys and heartache, then fell pg on 1st round of clomid.
s,pose on the other hand this is a clomid forum, and good news for me is good news to anyone else who is thinking about starting on clomid.
im still confident that you guys will be pg very soon. march will be a good month x x x

Mumstheword - don't feel bad at all for joining this group! You also ttc for many months before trying clomid and even though clomid worked on the first month for you doesn't mean it still wasn't a long road for you to become pregnant! Its great to have some good news on here!

Jac1019 - good luck on the IUI! I'm really hoping it works for you! How long until you can take a test?

As for me I'm still waiting for my HSG, 3 more days. I'm going in for it on cd11 and we'll start the "baby dance" ( as my husband likes to call it) on cd12. I don't usually get my positive opk until about cd16 but we'll start early just in case :)

O-BABY - March 7

mumstheword- A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to you!!! That is just fantastic to hear!! I agree, it is so great to have such great news on here :) I wish you the very best! Again, congratulations!! :) And you are so right about the waiting....it is the worst! lol But thank you, I hope that all of us get pregnant this month!! :) And keep us updated.

hopefullysoon- Keep us updated on your HSG. I hope everything goes well :)

jac1019- Good luck with your IUI :) Hope that all goes well!

I on the other hand go in for my blood test at 3pm tomorrow.....can't wait to hear the results, hope they are what I want to hear! =) Fingers crossed!

J-Rafih - March 8

hey everyone.. sorry i've been MIA for the last few days... i started a new job and it's been so crazy busy!! congrats mumstheword on ur pregnancy!!! it gives me great hope as i'm on my first round of clomid as well!! i'm on cd 19 and go in on cd 23 for my blood work to see if i ovulated, clomid defintely had some effect on me because I hardly had AF at all this cycle!! YAY even if i didn't ovulate it was sooo nice not to have a 14 days AF!! can't wait to hear more good news from everyone... OBABY I have a good feeling about you this month..

jac1019 - March 8

J Rafih, good luck with those tests. I hope they prove that you ovulated. Are you getting any ovulation symptoms?

hopefullysoon- you're testing soon, right? Good luck!

I actually had 2 IUIs done this weekend, and my husband's count was really good. I am preparing to be disappointed because I know my chances are still slim- all the research I read indicates that with three follicles and healthy sperm, a like 25-30 percent chance of conception :/

hopefullysoon - March 8

jac1019 - good luck with your IUI's! I'm remaining positive for you!

And yes I have my hsg test tomorrow. I'm a little nervous, but I know that it'll be worth it and I'm really hoping that it gives me positive results this month!
