Hi everyone! Just checking in. I have been out this month, because I had a 17mm cyst on my left ovary at my CD3 u/s & they also saw what they thought might be the same polyp in my uterus as last month. I had a sonohysterogram on Tuesday and thankfully there was no polyp. The doctor put me on birth control this month to prevent any other cysts from forming. Hopefully the one I have will be gone by the time next cycle gets here. I was planning on moving from Clomid to injectables, but I got a call from the pharmacy last Friday saying that it was going to cost $5,093 for one cycle(my insurance doesn't cover any of the medication). I sat down & talked with the doctor after my sono on Tues. and he is going to put me on a combination of Clomid 50mg & the injectables in order to boost my stimulation and keep the cost down. I'm anxious to start something different in hopes that it'll work. Anyways, hope all is well with you gals & that you all get your BFP's this month!!

Wow BabyFever that sounds like a LOT to deal with.
Well, I'm out for the month. AF is due tomorrow and got a BFN today. This sucks. The question is start round 3 of clomid or give up??? Ugh I feel like giving up. My body hates me.

I am so sorry to hear that you did not get your BFP, but you CAN'T give up! I hear a lot of women getting pregnant on their 4, 5 or 6th cycle. Hang in there! I know it is hard!
I am on CD30. I ovulated on CD17, I could take a pregnancy test, but I am going to wait a couple more days to see if AF comes, then I will take one.
Quick questions for you guys, I need some help.
I got a positive ovulation test and my blood worked confirmed that I ovulated, but my progesterone level was only a 11, but my doctor said that was perfect, but what I read online it should be above 15 if on a medicated cycle. Has anyone ever gotten pregnant with a progesterone level around mine? I am curious! Also, if you for sure ovulate and are not pregnant will AF for sure come or can it be delayed? Can I count on AF coming around 14 days after I ovulated if I am not pregnant. This is my second cylce. The first cycle I did not ovulate, so I am not quite sure what to expect.
Also, my nipples have been very tender. I have had low back pain and some cramping. I know these can by side effects of the clomid too...

Hi crmr2008: Did you take a preg test yet or did AF come? Your symptoms sound like preg symptoms, so I really hope you get your BFP this time!
No, I didn't bump up Clomid, I actually switched to Femara because Clomid was making my uterine lining too thin. I took Femara CD3-7, and now am taking Estrace to thicken my lining. I had an u/s yesterday and my lining looked great and I have 2 mature follicles, so I'm supposed to take the trigger shot tomorrow night and have an IUI on Monday. I really hope this is the one that works...
Katie267: Don't give up! Your next cycle could be the one that works! I know exactly how you feel and it's unbelievably frustrating, but the only thing we can do is hold on to hope that the next time will work out. Did your doc find any possible things that could be going wrong?

I have not tested yet, I am too nervous..haha I am going to wait a couple more days to see if AF comes. I am glad that your cycle is going well. That is exciting :) What has your progesterone levels been? It is just two weeks today since I got a positive ovulation test. Quick question for you, have you always started your period on clomid when you have ovulated?

Kittymom- All I know is that I don't ovulate regularly on my own, and clomid does the trick. I am on 50 MG. This will be my 3rd cycle on it and I am just ready to stay 'nevermind' and try again later. I have heard women can't do more than 6 cycles of clomid or they will start to get liver damage...
AF came today, as expected. :(

Kittymom! Good luck! :)I had to do 6 rounds of clomid and 6 trigger shots and 2 IUI's and it finally worked. I am now 22 weeks pregnant with twin boys.
Please keep me posted! All the ladies on here please don't give up. I almost did.

Not been on here in a while but I had 100mg clomid for my 3rd round and as I felt no different (sick or dizzy) I was in no rush to test myself but had bad cramps and waiting for AF to appear. Anyway, as I'm late I thought I'll try a test and now I'm in utter shock and can't quite believe that two tests have revealed a positive line. I know it's early days but I'm so used to not getting a positive that I'm just completely shocked!

crmr2008: You must have a lot more patience than I do to keep waiting haha, good for you! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! I'm actually not sure what my progesterone is, I forgot to ask. Maybe I'll find out on Monday. Yes, when I was on Clomid, I always got my period at the regular time (14-15 days after I ovulated).
Katie 267: Maybe you can try a third cycle and ask for 100mg instead of 50? Has your lining been normal? I haven't heard about the liver damage thing, that's scary. So far I like Femara better..no hot flashes, headaches, or thin lining. Not sure yet if I'll have success in the end but we'll see..
Brandy78: Wow, congratulations, that's amazing!! You just gave me more hope. Did you do anything differently the last time that made it work?

Thank you! My cycles have varied, my DH has low sperm and I ovulate every other month they think. Anyway cycle 1 clomid 50 27 days, cycle 2 50 32 days, cycle 3 100mg 35 days so far.... Coincidentally, I had my first session of accupunture whilst taking my 100 mg as someone swore it helped them get pregnant. So I tried a Zita West fertility accupuncture specialist and well.... Fingers crossed it worked x x

Thank you! :) It's still amazing to me that we are finally having babies! It took so many years. Then when the doctor said it's twins! I was so surprised. I didn't do anything different. I was at the point of giving up. I mean I was on the last cycle of Clomid and trigger shot and I was like I just can't do this anymore. So when we did the last IUI I didn't have much hope. Congrats Brandy78 & Lucky44....It feels so gud atleast for some one clomid works...I had my progestrone test on 21st day and it came 1...I was sad and disheartened but thought may be i had ovulate late ..but i dont think so ...AF has not yet arrived so i think it will not arrive this month and i have to take medicine for inducing period and to start with third round of clomid...In my family every other one is getting pregnant I m very happy for them but i really want this for me...I wait for every day to get complete so that next day bring some hope for me...It give me so pain which i unable to explain...Pls God help me..My three of family member is expecting next month..Happy for them and sad for myself...

I have a question for you ladies...I know every body is different, but I started AF on Friday morning. it was fairly heavy and there were a few small clots (TMI i know). Last night (Saturday night) I noticed it had stopped completely?? My period never stops. It usually lasts about 4-5 days, starting out heavy then tapering off. I am really confused. I did take a PG test the day before my period and it was neg. and I don't have any pregnancy symptoms so I doubt its that. Is it the clomid that can do this? Maybe it thinned out my lining so that is all that shed? I can't call my doctor today obviously so I am racking my brain...

Oh and also- last night when AF stopped I had the worst cramps imaginable. They were soooo painful!

Hi Katie 267: That happened to me too..I used to have a heavy AF for 2-3 days, now it's just 24 hours then virtually gone. It's from having a thin lining. Maybe next time ask if you can take some Estrace to help thicken it after the Clomid?
I really need some help ladies, I'm freaking out a little. I had the trigger shot on Saturday night, then IUI yesterday, but I'm convinced that I didn't ovulate yet because I didn't have that really bad pain that I normally get when I ovulate. I was up all night worrying about it, so I called my RE this morning, hoping I could come in for another u/s and see if my 2 follicles are still there, but he said to come in on Friday for a progesterone test to see if I ovulated. I'm so frustrated because I wait all month for this, and now it might have all been a waste. The nurse said she never heard of the trigger shot not working, but I find that hard to believe. Has anyone had the trigger shot and not ovulated after? I don't know what to do and I'm so stressed out from this.
I also drank 2 cups of red raspberry tea yesterday thinking it might help me ovulate but it didn't..does anyone else have any ovulation tricks? Maybe I should just admit to myself that it's too late now and give up. :o(
