jac1019.....understand what your going through with your dad. my mam had a brain anyurism on the 14th oct. she had the "coiling" done to fill the anyurism. it was a bad time for us all, wasnt sure she was going to pull through, but she did and was discharged exactly after 4 weeks, and is doing realy well. no after care was put in place for her. she has a slight speech prob, but nothing major.(is recieving help for it). she was then re admitted on xmas eve as she had developed blood clots, which we asume was from her op, so watch for symptoms when he,s home. on top of everything she,s gone through she has now been diagnosed with breast cancer. it was only discovered after they were searching for her blood clots, so quite fortunate they found it early. talk about stress!!! ive had my fair share since oct, like you say,, no wonder were not concieving. to survive an anyurism, you can survive anything. im sure your dad will be fine, X X X
hopefullysoon...... i have everything crossed for you :) fingers, toes...

mumstheword- wow, your mother has been through A LOT! I can't even imagine the stress you have been under. I am glad to hear that the cancer was caught early.
Did her doctors tell you to get a MRA scan for aneurysms as well? My dad's keep telling me to because they can be genetic. My father's hemorrhage was pretty severe, and he is recovering remarkable well, but as you know, this type of injury and condition is so scary with many obstacles. He is at one of the best hospitals for this in the country, and yesterday they screwed up his health records and almost discharged him. My brother and I stepped in and showed the weekend physician how his plans did not correlate with my dad's surgeon's... Of course, I am nervous wreck and will be until tomorrow, until his surgeon is back at the hospital... yeesh.
I am in day 8 of my cycle and finished clomid yesterday, day 7. This second round I had severe depression, but I am not sure if I can totally contribute that to the clomid, considering everything else going on... oh, and I didn't drink any wine last night. I ate a brownie instead...
Good luck, hopefullysoon!

Mumstheword and jac1019 I'm so sorry about both of your parents but glad to hear they're both overcoming their health issues!
Mumstheword - good luck on testing in 9 days! Hopefully those 9 days don't drag on to long! I always find the waiting the worst part. Can't wait to hear good news!! :)
As for me, I started spotting last night so today should be my first full day of AF. I hope it is today and not tomorrow, the sooner I can get started on this next cycle the better. This month I'm trying every trick in the book lol. I'm getting my tubes flushed, charting my basal body temp, taking robitussin to try and help increase mucus, and am using pre-seed lubricant(ttc friendly). All this along with my usual ovulation tests plus blood test to confirm ovulation. If today ends up being day one then I can start taking clomid on Tuesday.
I'm so ready for this journey to be over and to be pregnant. I loathe PCOS. And the worst part about it is that I have a girl she will also most likely have PCOS, it's hereditary. My grandma, mom and sister all have it too.
Good luck everyone! My fingers are crossed for all of you! We need some good news on here soon!

jac1019..........i was told anyurisms can be genetic, i have told my doc about my mum, and it,s been put in my records. wasnt offered an mri tho. im sorry youre feeling down right now, know how it feels to be a bag of nereves with your dad, and those lengthy hospital trips. i promise you it gets better. just remember, theres always some one worse off you...and your dad for that matter, anyurisms are closely associated with strokes. thank god it wasnt that.
keep your chin up girl, and stock up on those brownies. smile and the whole world smiles with you. good luck for this time round on clomid.
where are yoy hopefullysoon?.......did you test today? x

Hopefullysoon, I want to recall something that you just wrote:
"I'm so ready for this journey to be over and to be pregnant. I loathe PCOS. And the worst part about it is that I have a girl she will also most likely have PCOS, it's hereditary. My grandma, mom and sister all have it too."
Your grandma and mom have PCOS. Each had a child or more. Keep strong.

Jac1019 - thank you for pointing out the positive! During this process it's sometimes hard to do that. You're right both my mom and grandma each ended up being able to have 3 kids. And my sister after 2 years of trying and one miss carriage is currently pregnant at 4.5 months.

Well....I will go in on the 7th for my blood test, can't wait! But as of right now, I am sick :( Over the past two days I have had a dry scratchy throat and the worst cough ever! I was diagnosed with Asthmatic Bronchitis when I was real young and it is something that I have NOT out grown! It hurts sooooo bad to cough or sneeze. But other than all of that....I am real anxious to see the results :)
Baby dust to all of you!!!

mumstheword-
Thank you very much. And yes, the blood test on the 7th is to see if I ovulated. I am crossing my fingers! February is the second month that I have been on Clomid. I am taking 50mg of Clomid right now. I am on cd 17 right now.

O-BABY - you must be getting excited for you blood test on the 7th to confirm ovulation. Have you had a positive opk test yet? My fingers are crossed for you that you get good results, and that you ovulated!!
How is everyone else feeling? Where in your cycles are you?
As for me I have booked my HSG test for a week from today. A little nervous because I have heard from some people that it can be uncomfortable and/or painful. BUT the end result of a baby will be worth it! I'm on day #2 of clomid right now, so 3 more to go. I also booked a follow up appt with my fertility doctor for 2 weeks after my HSG, just to touch base with him before he gives me the clomid prescription for months 5 and 6. And just to make sure that the HSG came back okay.
Good luck everyone!!

hopefullysoon, Thank you girl! I am excited for my blood test, but a tad nervous also. I had two positive okp test, but the few others that I took were negative :( Not sure if it was just the Clomid throwing it off or what?! I guess we will see on the 7th.
I hope that everything goes smoothly with your HSG test, you will have to keep us updated to see how everything goes. And that was smart to think ahead and make a follow-up appt. with your fertility Doc. :)
As for me....this is going into day 6 that I have been sick! I have been congested, sore throat, horrible cough! My lower back aches so bad....uugh!!! I have never in my life had to pee this much either!! I am on a diuretic for my high blood pressure, so I know that has a little to do with it, but geez! I have people telling me that all of the symptoms of the "cold" that I have and the peeing and lower back pain can all be related to pregnancy. I have done my research and I know that they can be and sometimes are....but I don't want to look at any of them that way....get my hopes up and then have them squashed...no thanks! So for now.....Bronchitis is it! lol
How is everyone??
|
|
|

Or rather...Bronchitis it is! lol

O-Baby, feel better! When I was pregnant with my son, I was sick just like you are explaining the week and a half before my missed period.... just sayin' ;)
Tomorrow I go in for an ultrasound to see how many follicles I have, and an estimated ovulation date, although with clomid, the I get a pain that signals I am ovulating. Later in the day I having an MRI with contrast (ink dye) done... I am nervous that it will somehow interfere with fertility... anyone know?
