10 years on the depo and now what a child

when is it safe to conceive. How long after stopping the shot should you wait? are there any chances of complications to the baby or the mother after almost 10 years

I have been on the Depo shot for 5 years and came off it last Dec 04. My doctor told me to wait until I get my first period and then I can start trying. I finally got my period on Friday so now my husband I and can start trying!In some people it may take longer to get your period. It depends on your body. Good luck with everything!
