What else can I do?

I have been TTC now for 17 months. I have read Taking Charge of Your Fertility twice, recorded my BBT and now, have resorted to using the ClearBlue Easy Fertility monitor for the past 3 months. I talked to my doctor and she said that she sees no reason why I shouldn't be able to conceive, but that doesn't change the fact that I haven't. Does anyone know of any way to enhance my chances of conceiving? I already take prenatal vitamins. Thanks for your input and suggestions!

Have you had an HSG test done yet? It checks to make sure your tubes are open. I had mine done on 6/10 and was told by the radiologist that this test can also increase fertility chances since injecting the dye can kinda "clean you out" if there is any scar tissue blocking your ovaries. My doc did not mention that part at all. I have been trying for 4 years and am also using the monitor. Hubbie's sperm count is normal. I am ovulating today so I am very excited to see what happens in 2 weeks. Good luck!

Haven't done any further fertility testing, other than the normal checks with the doctors and blood work. Is this HSG covered by insurance? If not, is it very expensive? Thanks so much for your input. Keep us all posted on what happens in 2 weeks! I hope you have a positive turn out!

Yes, my test was covered by my insurance since it was ordered by my ObGyn. But to me, the test kinda hurt but not everyone experiences pain. There is a great thread going on here about this test so ya might wanna check it out!

I used the monitor for 3 months and got tired of it because I was ovulating and not getting pregnant. The 4th month I didn't even bother using it and got pregnant. I think stress plays a factor. Also I suggest you get checked to see if you have a tipped uterus which could complicate getting pregnant. I would suggest you lay on your back after intercourse with a pillows under your pelvis and stay in the same position for 30-60 minutes-- it helps the sperm get up there. also the doggy position during sex can help sperm get there faster.
