Well this is advice from my dr. I didn't know this so I thought I would share it with you all. He said that around 14 days after you first get your period should be around your ovulating time,(he said some women ovulate 2 or 3 times a month?)But he said after your period is over you should have sex every other day. It gives the sperm time to build up. and the sperm can live inside of you for 48 hours. hope this helps. baby dust for all.

Melissa - Thanks for sharing! One thing about how long sperm lives in the body though... Male sperm live up to 3 days. Female live up to 5 days (mind you that's "up to"). This is information that women who are trying for a specific sex of the baby when ttc use. If you are on a regular 28 day cycle then yes about 14 days you can assume is the time you O but if you are not regular than that 14 doesn't necessarily include you. I was on clomid and didn't O until cd19.
