EHK - November 6

Well I just took a FRER digital and it was negative so I am pretty sure I am out this cycle. I am 13dpo so I would think it would be positive by now. I also don't have any preg symptoms and have all the PMS symptoms so I should start tomorrow. So frustrating...

How are you feeling Stacy?

Oh man!!! I am sorry girl!!!! That sucks! :( are u gonna try again? I feel pretty good, still sore from the IUI in my uterus! That IUI really hurts!!!! Haha but I'm doing good staying busy to keep my mind off everything! I am working overtime this week so I don't sit around on my off days thinking about everything. I sure am sorry to hear that EHK! Hang in there!!! :)

Hi ladies, I have been following your posts. Don't lose hope! I have heard from women who got a negative and still had a positive test later on. I had the faintest line you could imagine on day 12. Keep the faith... Also good luck with your 2WW it is a long wait I know. Baby dust ad prayers to you both :)

EHK - November 7

Thanks Erin! Well today is 14dpo and no sign of AF. I am feeling a little crampy but usually by now I have already started. I took a test (of course :) and I think I saw the most faintest line you can imagine. Like, I may have actually imagined it. Maybe it will get darker. I have a beta tomorrow morning unless I start before then. I will keep you all posted.

Stacy: I hope you are still staying busy and time is not dragging by too slowly for you!

stacy1225 - November 7

Thanks Erin for the encouraging words! I hope you and the babies are doing well!!!

EHK, that is definitely some positive news! I hope your beta comes back positive! Cant wait to hear! Stay away AF!!! I am staying busy! I shopped all day yesterday hahaha and working a 12 hour shift today! I am a NICU nurse so being around all the babies is sometimes hard but they are my therapy! Haha :) I love em! One of the moms of the babies I am taking care of today did IUI with follistim at the same doctor i use and the parents told me they barely met the minimum of sperm to do the IUI and got pregnant with this baby so they definitely gave me some hope today!! Keep me posted EHK! And baby dust all around!!!!

Hi EHK, I am hoping that this is your time, please keep us updated!!

Hi Stacy, hope you not working too hard, rest urself 2!!!!

I know of an acupuncturist who has one chrones, and a collostomy bag, she has one child and second due in 3wks.
Think I am gonna give it a shot, what can I loose!!!

Baby dust to all!!

EHK - November 7

Thanks Hopeful! I agree that you have nothing to lose trying acupuncture! If nothing else, I've heard it's super relaxing!

Stacy: That's great that you are staying busy! I agree with Hopeful, make sure you are resting enough. I think the fact the you are an NICU nurse is awesome! You definitely deserve one of your own and it WILL happen :) I'm sure the conversation with that mom really put your mind to rest!! What a small world, and for her to have gone through almost the exact same thing makes it seem like you were meant to meet her and have that conversation. There is definitely a good chance that this IUI will work for you!! Far crazier things have happened! :) Remind me of when you will test?

stacy1225 - November 7

I test on 11/16 in the office with a beta. I am not working too hard, believe me! Sitting in a rocking chair feeding a baby hardly counts as work!! :) haha

Oh that sounds like the best job!!

EHK - November 8

Well girls, I started first thing this morning as I was POAS! Talk about a great way start your day ha! I go back to my RE on Thursday for an US, bloodwork and to talk about what we are going to do this month. I am definitely doing another IUI but I'm curious if they will change up my meds.

stacy1225 - November 8

Oh boo! I am Sorry to hear that! Are u doing ok? I remember that feeling and I know it sucks! Keep the faith! And keep us posted on your upcoming cycle!!

EHK - November 8

Yeah I'm doing ok. Of course I was disappointed at first but all I can do is look ahead! Maybe this month will be the month!

EHK - November 10

So I just had my day 3 appointment with bw and an us. The nurse will go over those results with the RE and she will call me back with instructions for this cycle this afternoon. It sounds like we are going to stick with Follistim this cycle because I responded really well to it. I almost decided to sit this cycle out and take a break until the nurse talked me out of it. She said that the RE likes to do 3 iui's and if they don't work, he likes to have 'the talk'. I figured I would go ahead with this cycle and if it doesn't work, I will take a break next month and talk to the RE about our next step. I have had Endo in the past and had a lap done on it about 7 yrs ago. I think I will request to have another lap just to see what's going on in there if this cycle is a bust.

How are you feeling Stacy?

So I had my progesterone level checked this am. Doctors office just called and said it was 15.9 and they would prefer it around 20 so I have to increase the progesterone suppositories to twice a day. I already feel so hormonal from the progesterone (pimples, mood swings, breasts feel full and heavy) so increasing is going to be fun! haha

EHK, sounds like a good plan from the RE. Is this your 2nd or 3rd IUI? I sure do hope you get pregannt this time so u wont have to have a lap done!!! Less than a week to have my beta drawn and I get nervous thinking about it! We talked about mixing donor sperm with Dh's sperm if this cycle doesnt work out so I sure am hoping this one is the one, even if the chances are slim! Keep up the faith!!

EHK - November 10

Ugh hate that you have to up your progesterone suppositories. When I had to take them with the ectopic, I took them twice a day as well- one in the am and one in the pm. The morning was the worst because my dr wanted me to lie still for 30 min after inserting the progesterone so I would have to get up 30 min early every morning and then lay back down for 30 min. But hey, I would do it all again if it meant having a baby.

My nurse called me this afternoon with the plan for this month. I am upping my dose of Follistim to 100 iu a day and am not taking Femara (not sure why I am not taking Femara). I will go back for a follicle study next Thurs. She also went ahead and set up an app for me to have 'the talk' with my RE in case this month is a bust. If I get preggs, we will just cancel the app. The nurse said that he will want to do another lap if this doesn't work to see what is going on in there. This will be my 3rd IUI.

Hey ladies,
EHK sorry to hear about the BFN, but I am excited for you to try again this month. Take my advice, and try to picture the best outcome... I think it helps :)
Stacey, my Dr. said anything over 10 was normal and I think I was at 40 so I didn't need them, but at least it's the suppositories and not the shots, they are huge and hurt according to my multiple mama friends.
Sending prayers and hugs to you guys:) BTW when do you test?
