I'm so sorry SaintRose. What are your next steps?

hey beach... well i stopped the prometriem and now af is here (pretty quick) although i'm waiting to see if shes in "full flow" by tonight so i know weither this is day 1. My next step is Clomid 50mg with monitoring. With or without the iui, I'm not sure. I dunno if Clomid is my answer though. I was on it 3x before and responded well, and got pregnant 2x but ended in chemical pregnancys both times. I was never monitored, so they want me to take it again with monitoring, although i'm real nervous b/c i am afaid it will happen again. I was thinking maybe it was due to lining issues, but I was on progestrone after I ovulated while I was on Clomid, so I doubt I had thin lining. But I guess were going to give it another try. I did injectables for the past 2 cycles, didn't respond so well ( only 1 follicle) and its sooooo expensive, So hopefully when I take the Clomid in the beginning of next week it will work for me. How did your appt go today?? What are your options?

Believe it or not my RE wants to go to IVF. We just reviewed DH's sperm analysis and found that he has 26% antibodies in his sperm. His count is super high and so is the motility. The morphology is slightly off but he is taking L-Carnitine which should help that. But she said that with IVF using ICSI (they inject the sperm directly into the egg- Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection) will eliminate problems associated with the antibodies. I had a chemical preg in November 07 which may have been from the antibodies (but who really knows?!). So now I'm waiting for AF and have NO SYMPTOMS of her arrival! And listen to this, my BBTs have been high. I know I've had my wine at night, so that's probably why my bbts are up. My last dose of progesterone was Wed night, shouldn't I have gotten af by now? So you're just doing CLomid without injectables this month? Maybe they should put you on a higher does of progesterone then with your 2 chemical pregs? It's awful how previous m/c take away so much joy from a pregnancy!

beach... yeah im sure the wine had something to do with your bbt's being up. As far as your af not being here, that is strange. Mine started (spotting) the day after. It usually take a couple of days but I would think by wed it should have arrrived. Have you taken another pregnancy test, just to be sure?? The docs are thinking about injectables after my clomid depending on what they see. They may or may not give it to me. As far as upping my progestrone, It is a diff. clinc and they are using stronger stuff, so I will be on more. 200mg of Prometruim in the am and pm. I think I was on 50mg in the am and pm the 1st time, and then 100mg in the am and pm the 2nd time, and it was the wax progestone last time. I dunno if the prometruim is supposed to be better or not. I hope so. A nurse mentioned IVF to me last cycle. DH morph came back bad, only 20% normal. But he got me preg. be4, so were hoping with clomid he can do it again. So are you thinking about doing ivf now? Does your insuance cover it?

StRose...Yes I'm definitely doing the IVF (if AF ever comes)! Last month when I got off the progesterone (Crinone is what I've been using), AF came on the 3rd day. I haven't used Crinone since Wed so I should've started yesterday! And yeah I took another hpt today-BFN. My insurance covers up to $10,000 infertility treatment, so when I call the patient-accounts manager tomorrow, she can tell me for sure how much out of pocket I will have to pay. DH and I have been trying since Sept 05, so my patience is wearing thin (not that I ever had much to start!). Not having AF is really driving me insane now. I have provera here and that's what I used in the past to get AF when she didn't come on her own, I'm tempted to start taking it. I guess I can hold out till tomorrow when I call my RE and ask her what she thinks I should do. I'm a pharmacist, so it's hard not to self-medicate sometimes!!So when do you start the Clomid? Tuesday? Have you decided on IUI or not? Would you do IVF?

stRose- what do you mean by wax progesterone? Are you talking suppositories? I might ask your doc for suppositories or injections instead of the prometrium. It's usually best to avoid the oral route of administration when possible, even if the injections are painful and the suppositories can cause leakage.

thats great that you get 10,000 dollars free. But I guess IVF costs more than that, so you will have to pay something. I would do IVF, although I'm not thrilled to do it. Our insurance covers 50% so thats a help. But I would prefer not to go down the IVF road, but it is something I would consider doing if it came down to it. My hubby and I have been TTC for about 3 years now. So I feel you on the patience gettting thin part. I hope IVF is the answer for you though. Yes I will start the clomid on Tuesday, Af has picked up a bit today so it is day 1 for me. I dunno about the IUI yet, I suppose it won't hurt anything to do it. But my dh's schedule is hectic and the clinc that we go to only allows for certain hours to do the iui's. We live more than an hour away, so he would have to make time to stop off there, or take the day off. Hopefully it will fall on a weekend and it will make the decision easier. So for right now I am undecided. I guess I will ask my doc what he thinks.

Saint- You and I are on the same cycle - CD1 was 3/16 and I'll be on Clomid CD3-7. I will be doing IUI around 3/28 or 3/29 depending on the OPKs. Keep me posted on what you decide to do.
Beach-The IVF sounds like a good next step for you. It's definitely the best odds and since insurance will pay for some of it... My insurance doesn't cover anything, not even the blood tests or meds. So my next step will be IUI with injectables. Good luck!

Abi did you do an hcg shot? bc that can be why your bbs are like that , it takes a while for the symptoms from hcg to go away, but if you didn't it is still a little early to be from pregnancy but then again you never know bc it takes about a week for implantaion so who knows just hope that your bbs continue to stay sore..LOL..

linsy ~ hi how are you? well I had my first IUI on the 6th of this month and I am in the 2ww also. I am so nervous and excited at the same time. I am not suppose to test until the 18th but I think that I might test on the 14th. If its negative then I will just wait until the 18th and test again. So did you use any meds with your IUI or anything? Good Luck and Baby Dust to both of us. :-)
