EVERYONE; i went for a scan yest and only one follice..this int r8 good is it? she says its 16 does tht make sence to any one?..i am still learning alot! has any one had just one follice and its worked??

I had 2, but one was all I needed. The other burst VERY painfully. If I remember correctly they optimally look for follicles that are 18-20 mm?

The follicle size depends on where you are in your cycle.

harrisongoodall - My doc said that a follicle is mature at 15 and can result in a pregnancy. This cycle, I only had one mature follicle and it was a 15.5. My last cycle, I had ones that were as big as 19, but we had to cancel b/c I had too many. I had to go ahead and do the ovidrel (which makes you ovulate) b/c my body was trying to ovulate on it's own. I find out if I am pregnant in 8 days.

Hey All- OMG OMG My mom was pressuring me to take a hpt early on Tuesday so I did and it was positive so I took another one that evening and it was positive. I took another one Wednesday morning positive. I called the doctor and they had me come in right away for a blood test she called a few hours later and POSITIVE! I'm so excited I could cry. I can't believe it worked the first time. I thought for sure it would take a few IUI. Good Luck to all. It will happen when you least expect it!

thankyou for yr replies i have been for a scan today my folicle is at 18mm, gown a little from last time, i have had my final injection today and in tomorrow were in for the insemination..can every one sprinkle some baby dust on me plz : )
does it hurt???

harrisongoodall- I had 2 on my left side and one of them was 24 and I'm not sure how big the second one was but I know it was large.

SJP: Congrats to you!! Thats awesome.. your first try, you are very blessed. Keep us updated and wanted to ask you if you felt like your period was coming before you tested? I feel my coming on and I test in 2 days.. they say you can still get cramps but I just want to be sure.

I am starting to lose faith but all the signs this time (my 2nd IUI) were good. Very good.. so why in the world am I having such doubts? Maybe cuz I feel like my period is going to start. :(

Hey I had a ? for you guys. Can you get a positive preg. test 8 days after the trigger shot? Or 8 days after you ovulate? I don't know when I ovulated, but I'm assuming it was the day AFTER I did the trigger shot. I took a test yesterday and it was negative. I just don't know when it starts to show up as positive if I am pregnant. I was also wondering if maybe a "pee" test would not show preg. unless it's almost time for AF. Isn't that about a month or so after intercourse? Anyway, any answers would probably be helpful. Thanks!
