Hey Kelly, Did you have a u/s to measure the lining? My first month on the prog. I had a period that was not as heavy as I was expecting either. But at my u/s they said my lining was the right thickness. Have fun on your trip. I hope I have something interesting to report when you get back. We are preparing for the storms hurricane Rita is supposed to bring. That is my entire weekend plan! Fun huh? Be careful, Toni

Hi Kelly, hope your trip was great! Af came for me on Friday, but I was on to clomid by Sunday. Had my first appt. with a fertiltiy dr today. Now I am having a hsg on Friday, sono on Monday and maybe doing IUI this round! If it doesn't take this time, she said I would do injectibles next round. She said they work better. I hope because I have had kids that the IUI doesn't hurt too much. I was really wanting a valium for that! So what is next on your plan? Toni

Hi Toni! We had a great trip! Now I'm all relaxed and hopefully that will help the ttc. I'm expecting af toward the end of next week, and we will be doing clomid/hcg shot/double IUI/prometrium this month. Dh has already warned his work that he will have to be home for at least two days this month for the IUIs. I'm really excited (but trying not to get too worked up). Sorry to hear af showed up! We'll get it right one of these days! I too have heard that the injectibles give better results with IUI, though they are supposedly more expensive right?? I'm really excited for you starting this new process. Hope it brings us good results!!! Do you have any symptoms from the clomid yet??

Hey Kelly, Glad you had a great time! The only symptom I felt from clomid was that I was a little more emotional. I can't wait until the sono to see what is going on. The hsg was good. The dye was a little slower going in on the rt. side, but now it's open. A friend at work told me the injectibles were $50 a day. Has you dr mentioned that to you? My dh has also told work that he will have to be home on certain days! I am hopeful the IUI will work for both of us! Keep me posted on your days. I will have more info after tomorrow. Toni

Hey Toni! Glad your hsg went well. They say having an hsg also helps 'slicken' you up a bit. I've heard others say that for the first three months after an hsg you are even more fertile. Can't wait to hear what happens at your u/s tomorrow. They can see things like pcos and fibroids and such with that. Thats how they found my pcos. I also have a couple of fibroids but they are outside the uterus, so no problem with them. Hope all is clear for you! Let me know what they see.

Hi Kelly! Just got back from the u/s and I have four follicles! We are going for the IUI on Wed morning. I am nervous and excited. They said the chance of multiples is small but there. I am just hoping that with 4 I have a chance for one! When do you start your stuff again? I am doing the trigger shot tonight.......Toni

Hi Toni! Four follicles!!! Yeah!!! Hopefully your IUI will go well. Are you having the procedure done at a certain time of day to match your likely ovulation time? I've heard many women say their doctors do it this way. My doc does a double IUI once the day after the shot, and another one the following day. I'll be starting my clomid next week depending on how early af shows up. I hope it hurries up because I'm ready to get this show on the road again. Dh is excited too. He should be home (finally) this Wednesday - yippee!!

Kelly, How many follicles did you have before your first IUI? I will check in tomorrow after I have mine. Did you have sonos with the clomid? What did your dr say about your chances? 25% or what? Thanks! Toni

Oh and I forgot......I had a trigger shot at 10 last night and the IUI is at 10 tomorrow. They told us to do the bd last night so the "guys" will be there. I wish they did two like yours!

Sounds like they have timing all worked out with you. My doc doesn't work out timing that precisely. I think thats why he does it twice. So 10:00 today! How exciting!!! They don't always tell you this, but from the people I've read about that have had a sucessful IUI, they all went home and took a nap immediately after the procedure. That's what I'm planning on doing this month after both procedures. Let me know if it is painful at all for you. My cervix was quite small, so the doc had quite a time with me. He said most people hardly feel anything. Hopefully it will be smooth sailing for you. Let me know.

Kelly, it went great. The dr went right into the cervix no problem. I laid there for 30 minutes and then I have done nothing but sit or lay down the rest of the day. Having some cramping when I walk around. I hope it is better tomorrow (have to dance you know!). Did you have cramping and how long did it last? I am dreading the two week wait!..Toni

Hey Toni! Yes, I'm here! Actually, I'm back. Forgot to tell you I was going to a convention this weekend, and took last Thursday and Friday off too. This is a crazy traveling time for me. Tomorrow I head to Colorado for a class, so I will be back on Monday. Glad there was no problem with pain during the procedure. I didn't have any cramping after the IUI. Or maybe the IUI hurt me so much that I just didn't feel any pain afterwards. I did have BIG ovulation pains though. Major cramping so bad that I almost couldn't get out of bed. I know many docs try to do the IUI around ovulaiton time, maybe you were cramping from that. Well af started Sunday, so yesterday I went to the doc and got some more clomid. Started taking it today. I'm trying the Serophene brand of clomid this time. The last couple of times I took the generic stuff. I've heard the brand is better, so we shall see... I'm scheduled for a u/s next wednesday, then IUI on both Thursday and Friday. Instead of doing the IUI right at my ovulation time, my doc does two IUIs before and after ovulation. So how are you feeling?? Still crampy? Are you back on the progesterone?

Hi Kelly, glad you are back! I don't really feel crampy anymore. That lasted about 2 days. So unfortunately I just feel normal! But I am only 6 dp iui. So I am thinking the implantation is about to happen if it is at all! But I am so nervous to see what is going to a happen! I am scared to test next week. I am so afraid of being disappointed! I am back on the prog. supps except this time I do one prometrium and two vaginal supps a day! That is 3x my other dose! Glad to hear you are about to start up again. I wish my re would do two iui's!! I had not heard about the brand name being better, but I am gonna ask! Keep me posted. Tomorrow I go for bloodwork to check prog. level. Hpt next Wed. Here's hoping!! Toni

Good luck with your progesterone test tomorrow! I'm sure everything will be fine, especially taking as many supplements as they have you on. Are you sleepy all the time on those?? For me just taking one Prometrium (200) a day makes my 2ww feel like a dream state. Then next week is the test - yeah!!! Hoping for good news. Try to relax (I know, I hate it when people tell me that too). Do some yoga or other meditation stuff. I like doing that stuff because it really relaxes me, at least for the time I am doing it. Off to Colorado! Talk to you next week. While you are testing next week, I will be having my u/s that wednesday hoping for many large follicles!
