I am 11 weeks now. And I am going crazy! This is a lot to worry about. Can you get a blood test done? The waiting drives me nuts too!

Hi Toni! Sorry its been so long since I've posted. I've been very confused since af last weekend. My bbs keep getting more and more sore, even though af has come and gone, my temps are down, and I tested negative on hpt. I should be comming up on o by the end of the week, but my symptoms are like after o. I also had ewcm a week early, so I have not a clue what is happening. I really don't think I'm pg. Probably just the meds left over. Some say they think I had an early m/c since I had some pink spotting on 12 dpo, and af came a week late. Who knows. Dh and I are going to try getting pg without the meds for a few months while we look into adoption. Hope you are doing well with your pregnancy!! Has the bleeding stopped??

Hey Kelly, I have not been on this in about 2 weeks. I had a marker for down's and had to have a CVS. And I was devastated. But I got the results yesterday and all is good!! We are having a girl! But I am still bleeding some. My dr says sometimes it stops around week 16 ( I am 15.5.) and sometimes it goes on the whole time. Those are some weird symptoms to still be having. How are you now? Here's hoping for the natural way!!! Can you still take your prog supps? I think tha would be good to do with the natural way too.

Hi Toni! Very glad to hear everything is okay. I was getting worried. A GIRL!!! WHOOOOOO HOOOOO!!!! That is such awesome news! Well I had a really wierd cycle. Last cycle I had some pink spotting at 12 dpo, then had af a week late (most likely a m/c). Then this cycle was only 20 days long. I ovulated on cd 10, and af started on 10 dpo. This is another reason I think it was probably m/c, but I'm glad I didn't know it at the time. We are going to try naturally for the next few months while we do some research into adoption. Once we start the adoption process, we will likely go on some sort of b/c, since I've heard they will not let you adopt if you are ttc. A GIRL!!! Wow, I just can't believe it! Its just so awesome!! What is CVS?

CVS is chronic villi sample or something like that! They stick you with a long needle and take a biopsy of the placenta! Not too fun. Kinda scarey. But I felt like I had to do it. Do you know what countries you will consider for adoption?

Yikes! That does sound scary. I'm relieved that you are still okay. Sounds like getting pregnant is only half the battle. I am thinking about china, but we haven't discussed the country yet. Mike has mentioned some of the hispanic countries in middle and south America. I'm a bit hesitant about adopting from the States since the laws have allowed natural parents to change their minds after everything is all set up, and even to come in and take their children back once they have been adopted. That would be so awful! Although, the alternative of adopting from outside the U.S. is quite costly I hear.

A girl on another thread I am on is adopting from Guatemala. She is getting a baby in about 8 months total. I don't blame you for being hesitant about adopting from here. The horror stories are enough to scare me!

Guatemala, wow! I looked into that, and adoptions from that country are shutting down. Your friend must have gotten in before they started closing the door. Something about political stuff I think between the adoption people. I found out today that there is a really great tax break of about $10,000 for people who adopt from over seas. It is such a relief to find that information out! That would pay for about half of the total adoption costs. We'll still have to save up for a while, though.

Adoptions are not cheap! $10,000 is what I need to add a bedroom to my house! We are only half-way there. May have to get a little parent loan! Do you ever watch Adoption Stories on tv?

Hi Toni! I have seen some adoption stories on television, but mostly I just talk to my sister. She adopted a baby from Russia a few years ago, and seems to know the process. Dh and I had a good talk about everything this weekend. We have decided to try naturally for 6 more months, then go for a China adoption. Just think, one way or another I will be a mommy within 2 years. I'm so excited!!

Hey Kelly, My friend on the other thread said that Guatemala was just closing down the single parent adoptions. But Russia and China sound good to me. I know there are several kids in my kids' classes from China and I had a student this year adopted from Russia only 8 months ago. She is in 7th grade. Very sweet girl. Do you think you will be able to get a baby? Hope so!
