Anyone resistant to Clomid/

Pls help me. I usually have my periods exactly once in 2 months. Last year I tood 3 cycles of clomid 50 mg and I ovulated only on the 42nd or 43rd day. This year one cycle with letrozole, i ovulated in 14 days. But since they banned the use of letrozole, the dr put me on clomid 50 mg and no ovulation and now 100 mg, no eggs are maturing. so the dr wants me to take metformin though I have normal testerosterone and androgen level and also normal insulin level. I don't have any hair growth (which is a sign of PCO). Has anyone gone through something like this? tks
