Hi Kellyb! I think they say that you should o anwhere between 5-10 days after your last clomid. My doc gives me a hcg shot to make sure I will ovulate within 36 hours, so we know for sure the IUI happened at the right time. I'm with you about getting up hopes each month with every little twinge of a symptom. Besides, now that I'm taking all these meds, who knows if its me or the meds that are causing those symptoms. Today, I have felt some minor twinges in my lower ab and right side, but that is all. Last week at this time I was very bloated and lots of cramping, I guess from the IUI and hcg shot. I think as the hcg shot wears off, so do my symptoms. Well, try to stay positive, girl. I will be right here for you! How are you doing today Beth?? Kellie?? -kelly

Beth - September 3

Hello things are going OK so far not feeling great the morning, afternoon, evening, night sickness has taken over. I'm fine unless I don't eat. Unfortunatly I work in a grocery store but don't actually get breaks from work so I just get to smell the food that's cooking. My doctor put me on work restriction because I'm a high risk pregnancy so no more than 8 hrs a day and 40 hrs a week plus every day I'm suppose to get 2 breaks each 15min and a 30 min lunch, yeah right I'm lucky I get a lunch. I don't even get to sit during my 8 hr shifts. For some reason labor laws and breaks don't apply to pharmacists we're just expected to stand on our feet all day and not eat or go to the bathroom. I asked my boss if I should get sick in the department or was I "allowed" to leave to go to the bathroom. Sometimes I think I'm a slave to my job.
So KellyN when's testing day? Next week right. I'm praying for you.
KellyB I ovulated late with both cycles of Clomid first time on day 28 second time on day 19. You're doctor will probably do an U/S to figure out when they think you'll ovulate. I guess you can tell from the size of the follicles they grow at a specific rate each day and must be over 19mm to ovulate.
Kellie hope things are well with you!
Baby Dust to all!

KellyN - September 4

Hi everyone! Happy labor day weekend. Beth I'm so sorry about your job and the morning, noon, and night sickness! I've heard working in a pharmacy is a BIG job. Try to stay positive, and tell your boss dh will come kick his/her %#$$ if they don't let you snack and rest when you need too. I've heard that the first trimester you are really tired too. Are you having that problem? For me I am about 4 days away from when I can start testing (two weeks after my hcg shot). I'm going to the Dollar Tree this weekend to get some tests. I can't wait!!! I've been kind of crampy, but it really feels like af is coming more than anything. You never know, though, so I'm trying to stay positive. How is everyone else?? Kellyb?? Kellie, hope you are having a nice restful 2ww!! Baby dust to us!!! -kelly

Beth - September 5

KellyN I highly recommend the $ Tree tests it was the first one to come up positive for me. Being crampy can be a good sign I didn't notice much difference between how I felt before AF and when I was early PG. I'm REALLY tired it's a great excuse to lay down and sleep. On Thursday I went on a recruiting trip for work and came home that night at 6:00 and went right to bed and slept the entire night until 8:00 the next morning. My DH thinks I'm making up how tired I am! Hope everyone is feeling well and keep us posted.
Baby Dust to all!

KellyN - September 6

Well dh went out today to buy me some of those Dollar Tree tests. I used those last month too, and what a great price! They worked just fine. Last month I took a test at 6 dpo and it came up + due to the hcg shot. I was so excited, and was so dissapointed when I found out it was just due to the shot. I took the first test today (11 dpo), and it was - so I know that the hcg is now out of my system and it is safe to start daily testing. I never was one to wait. No cramping today, just really tired and a little grumpy. Dh is about to leave for a whole month for work. This really bites!!! That's funny that your dh thinks you are making it up. I though everyone knew that being sleepy is the primary symptom of the first trimester. All of the women in their first trimester come and sleep periodically in the bathroom of our floor, on a couch. So, how does he explain why you have slept so much? Your first u/s is coming up this week, right? I can't wait to hear about that! Talk to you all later!! -kelly

Kellyb - September 6

Hi ladies! Hope all is well. I don't have a computer at home, so I only post M-F while at work (heehee). I've got the painful boobs now and a little cramping. I think I may start AF a little early this month. I'm due to start on the 11th. I used to only get cramps the day I started but since I've been on Clomid, the cramping starts early. Talk to you soon. Kellyb

Kellie - September 6

Hi Guys! Wow I have missed so much! It's took me 10 mins to read all the new posts and get caught up! Welcome Kellyb to the post!
I hope that you all are doing well, and relaxed. Beth, so glad to hear your pregnancy is going along smoothly. Cant wait to hear more details. KellyN, hang in there, you will know soon! This has been the most wonderful two weeks for me, no charting, no thinking of pregnancy until I remembered I needed to check in with the board! I don't even know when AF is due, I am not sure when AF started last month. So I am totally in the blue this month and I tell you, it really is freeing. I am just going along as if I am not trying to get pregnant and just living my life. DH (in the Navy) is getting deployed to Louisiana to help in the relief efforts so he will be gone for a few months I am thinking. It's kinda sad but I am glad he will be helping out people in need. I will check back as I think about it, definitely if AF visits or BFP visits! Good luck ladies, KellyN I can't wait to hear! Talk to you all soon, Kellie

KellyN - September 7

Hi everyone! Kellie, great to hear from you. I was just about to drop you an email to see how things are going. You 'sound' very happy, and that is wonderful!! I'm guessing you won't be testing this month, but just waiting for af instead. You have much more patients than I do. I tested again today (cd 12), and of course it was negative. Kellyb are you planning on testing anytime? Kellie, my dh just left for a whole month, so I will be with you missing my dh. :o( It was so sad to see him go this morning. I have the day off, so I went shopping today to cheer myself up! ;o) How are you doing Beth?? Isn't your first u/s tomorrow??

Kellyb - September 7

Hi everyone. KellyN- I wish you luck on getting a BFP. My Husband wants me to test after I am late (if I am late) because we waste too much money on those tests. Beth- I'm so excited for you, you get to see your little one, YEAH! Let us know how it goes! I think I may follow your steps Kellie. Maybe I won't even keep track of my period either. I'm getting to that point where it just seems too hard. Baby Dust everyone!!!

Kellie - September 7

Hi everyone! Hope you are doing well! Ahh well my month of relaxation has been wonderful until my friend called to tell me she was pregnant. It happened in 2 months. I tried to be so happy on the phone but when I hung up I got all teary eyed. It seems to be all I can think about now, how she's pregnant and I'm not. I am trying to let it go, and remember that I want my baby, not hers and I want my life, not hers. They have only been married 1 1/2 years and that would have been way too soon for us. It's been 4 years and everything's great. I am sad that he's leaving in a couple of days, that means no trying for baby for a while. He always just wants me to trust him, that someday our time will come, and I believe him. So that's what I need to put my focus on. Beth, can't wait to hear what the u/s was like. By the way, no AF yet, I think she's due sometime next week but she's not welcome! We'll see what happens. Nothing really as far as symptoms are concerned, last 2 months I had sore bbs from O until AF but not this month, just got sore a couple of days ago and are pretty tender. That's about it. I will keep checking back. Talk to you all soon! PS Kellyb, my DH doesn't like me to test until I am late too and I think it's for the best. Not to get my hopes up until it really is late, and not to waste so much money on tests!

Beth - September 7

Hi everyone Kellie glad to hear things are going so well with you. I'm so sorry that your DH is going to be gone to LA but at least he'll be giving much needed help down there. KellyN hang in there my test didn't come up + until 13 dpo. I had my first U/S this morning HOW AMAZING!! I saw the little heart beating and the baby's head and tail (yes it still has a tail at this point). I'm officially 7 weeks along and due April 26th (2 days after my 2nd anniversary). April is quickly becoming a busy month my b-day as well as my DH's, my aunts, my dog's, my cousins, and our anniversary. Guess it's our lucky month! I have my next u/s on the 20th then I can go back to my regular OB/GYN although I'm going to miss the RE he's a great guy. Well everyone keep us posted. I'm so sorry that some of you will not have your DH's for the next month or several months hang in there we're all here for you
Beth

Kellyb - September 7

I hear ya Kellie. I'm tired of spending money on those tests! I keep saying I want to take a break if nothing happens this month, but I know I will still think about it in the back of my mind. My sister has 3 children, a 11 y/o son, a 2 y/o daughter, and a 1 y/o daughter. My Husband and I have been taking no precautions for almost 3 years now (as in NONE) and actually TTC for about 8 months now. I talked to her the other day to tell her about my HSG test results and she told me I was a "hypocondriac (sp?)". I was so hurt by that stupid comment. She has 3 beautiful children and has the audasity to tell me that. Wouldn't you be upset? Oh well, I guess some people are just like that (very selfish). I have sore bb's now too, I usually do before AF arrives. I wish us all luck!! Talk to you. Oh, Beth- That's sooo great about your ultrasound. Thanks for sharing!! Talk to ya.

Kellyb - September 7

Oh and Beth, my birthday is April 16th, try to have your baby on that day (haha!!)

KellyN - September 7

Beth!!! That is soooo cool! I am so excited for you, girl! So what's the next step for you?? Kellie and Kellyb, I know exactly where you are coming from with the expense for hpt. I'm right there with you - been tcc and testing for over a year. I'd been hearing about the Dollar Tree tests for a few months, but before last month I didn't try them thinking they would not be any good, or not very sensitive. Turns out they are just as sensitive if not more than other expensive brand names, so I tried it last month. Sure helps with the guilt when they only cost $1 each! That, and of course I have absolutely no patients whatsoever. Kellie, I know how you feel. Everytime I start thinking positively and thinking there are lots of people in my shoes, someone around me gets pg. Heck my sister has a double uterus, and she managed to get pg - by mistake!! I sure do wish my time would come someday. I'm beginning to think I will never happen. I had a chemical pg three months ago, but that was the only 'activity' I've ever had. Kellyb, don't worry about your sister. She obviously is clueless about fertility issues, being that she doesn't have any issues. She also is clueless about how it feels, and how saying such a stupid thing can effect us. We are with you Kellyb. If you are a hypochondriac, so are we! Well, been feeling some minor cramping in the lower ab, but that may just be af coming. Still very tired from the Prometrium. I tested this morning and bfn. The good news is that my temps are still up, so its not over yet. Also, this time last cycle I started pre-af spotting, and my temps were falling. Not so yet this month, so I'll keep hoping.

Kellyb - September 7

I hope we all get + tests!! Thanks for the words of encouragement regarding my evil sister. Some people may think it's not a big deal, but you helped me see that I'm not being over-emotional. My Husband told me not to even tell her anything anymore, sounds like good advice to me. He's been so great through all of this. I was VERY moody on my first 2 cycles of clomid, this month not so much. Maybe my bod is just getting used to the medication. What have you guys heard about Femara? I may ask my doctor to try this instead of clomid. I just don't understand if the clomid is working and DH is fine (he's actually on the lower side of normal which the doctor said really shouldn't effect us too much being he is still in the "normal" range), and my HSG test came back as clear tubes, what the hell is going on??? I'll talk to you later

Beth - September 8

Kellyb I'm a Femara success story if that's any help. I did 2 unsuccessful rounds of clomid and got pg with my first cycle of Femara. My doctor said the results with Femara have been much better than with Clomid and that he is not going to use Clomid any longer unless someone has an issue with the cost of Femara (35.00 a month or so). I'm sorry about your sister some people are so insensitive especially if they haven't been through something like this. I know I couldn't understand people's "craziness" over wanting a baby until I walked in their shoes now NOTHING seems crazy about ttc. Best of luck keeping my fingers crossed for a BFP from you all.
