I started my period at age 11. My period stopped coming two years after that and did not start again until I was 19. At age 13, my doctor said that my eggs and everything was normal besides the fact of no period. (I have always been overwieght except when I lost weight at age 19) I am now 25 and my peropds come regularly every month like clock work. I have been involved with a man who is 41.(We've been together for 6 years) My boyfriend has had problems with drugs in the past and is a very social drinker. (He does not have any kids to this day) We have been trying to get pregnant for 5 years and nothing has worked. With all of this plus the fact that I don't regularly have orgasms, is that the problem? I guess what I am really asking is, does a woman have to have an orgasm in order to get pregnant. Please someone out there let me know something. I dont want to be too old when I have my first child and I want my boyfriend to still be active enough to play and deal with a newborn.

Amber, good question. As Haley said, no you definitely don't have to have an orgasm to get pregnant. As Isabella brought up, have you seen an OB yet? They could do some tests, maybe refer you to a RE. Also, one of the easiest tests of all this TTC craziness is to have your boyfriend get a SA, make sure he's okay too. Good luck!

Definitely time for a sperm test! His age could be a factor. And for you, ask about the HSG test to make sure your tubes are open.

iam trying for baby #4 (#2 with dh), and we neede iui to have our baby, but iam hoping since nothing was found wrong, we might get preggo again, and faster then last time, without an re, but we'll see. anyway, i have never had an orgasm, by my partners in my life, just so you know, and i got pregnant with 2 children on my own, without any re help, so i have to say, no you do not need to have an orgasm to have a baby.
