why can't i get pregnant?

Me and my fiance have been trying to have a baby for a year and I am still not pregnant, why? It is something I want to be able to give him so bad! I only get my period every 3 months sometimes or sometimes even longer? I went off the pill 11/2 years ago. What is wrong with me and what can I do?

Jessica I think it's time you went to see you doc. If your in UK then the first steps of help should be free. They will check if you are ovalating this is two blood test and they will more then likely check your hubbie to see how many little fellas he produces each time and wot way they are swimming. If they find a problem then they can help. Because your only having a period every 3mths this isn't helping. They might give you clomid to help regulate your period. GO and see you doc you've got nothing to loose but everything to gain. GOODLUCK !
