Hey girls! I had a Lap surgery done last month (very minor same day) and the doctor because we have had multiple miscarriages and have been ttc went ahead while he was in ther and did the HSG. This was on December 5th. He also started me on Clomid, my cycle started on the 20th, we used OPK and did ovulate, and this morning I had a faint positive on a pregnancy test. The HSG is well worth it, My right tube was blocked and he cleared it so it does make a difference. Good luck to everyone....****Baby Dust****

I am going to take another month of Femara, montired by ultrasound on 1-25 and then instructed as to when to take a trigger shot. We will try this for 2- months and then if that doesn't work, the cycle FSH shots, anyone else trying this method?

Hi All. Reading these threads have given me some hope. This is my first time on this site. DH and I have been trying for a little over a year now. I'm 31 and DH is 30. I'll be going in for the HSG test and I'm soooooo nervous. My sister has gone thru the same test and will accompany me thru it. I'll keep you posted on any success...or failures.

How was the HSG test? I am supposed to have one done and I am really scared!! I have a high pain tolerance but, I am very apprehensive about having this test done. I think I may be tired of getting poked and prodded. I just wish there were easier ways to conceive for couples who have unexplained fertility issues or known fertility issues!! Let me know. I have been reading that there is some discomfort but, I want to prepare for the worst and hope for the best (pain I mean). Thanks.

Bionic_Chipmunk- I just had an HSG done and I consider myself to have a high tolerance for pain also. I was really worried and scared because I had read so many people saying "It was the worst pain they ever felt" etc...but for me it was a little bit of slight cramping and discomfort during and for a few minutes after, then I was fine. It was very quick, maybe 10 minutes. I also had heard that if there is blockage it is more painful, but they said the dye had trouble getting through one of my tubes, which it did get through and possibly removed any blockage that could have been there, and I still didn't think it was that painful. I had very mild spotting for about 24 hours afterwards also. Good Luck!

Dear Bionic, I got my HSG done on Monday. It is not painful, it's slightly uncomfortable.

I am new to this forum! I had an hsg done today and I am having major bloating in my stomach and weird pains. The pains are not in my pelvic region like they said they would be and they Do not resemble menstral cramps. They are in my stomach and feel like really bad gas. Has anyone had these side effects? It hurts to walk and even to move! I am worried, my dr is not in and the nurse knows nothing about the side effects. I hope someone can let me know!

Hi all! I'm new to this thread and how inspirining!! I've been up all night reading through the entire thread. It's great to see so many great women getting pregnant. I'm 34 and DH is 32. We've been ttc for about 8 months. I have an elevated FSH (around 12 -14) level. Went in for my HSG a couple of days ago and found out that at least one of my tubes is blocked. The DR said she sees the other one but thinks it may be blocked too. Does anyone have a problem similar to mine that can give me some hope of concieving naturally? What are the chances of getting pregnant depsite the block tues? Thanks for any advice you guys can give. Sorry this message was so long.

have any one experiance having the HSG and your cycle not coming the next month. Or have any one got pregant after having the HSG and one of your tubes are free and the other one had a little trouble with the dye.

Roxygirl-Femera is similar to Chlomid, is was originally prescribed for Beast cancer now many RE's believe it to be more successful than chlomid.

22wantsababy - if you read this thread, it's very inspiring. many people have gotten pregnant after HSG. like you, one of my tubes is blocked (the other may be too be they could at least see it). but there have been members on this forum who have gotten preggo even with blocked tubes. don't give up! i almost gave up until i read this thread.
