hey AllieP. I had an HSG and I ttc the same month. I think it is ok. But might want to ask your doctor. DaisyClara let me know if you get the BFP. Good luck to both of you.

Hi girls, there was just another BFP on another thread from a woman who had an HSG done the same month! I just thought I'd share the hope and good news. Good luck to all of you. I'm not going to test until Monday, I think, we'll see how strong I am.

Had HSG today... uncomfortable but not painful. reading all the posts really has me encouraged. we have been TTC for 1yr now( which is not so long in the grand scheme of things, but discouraging nonetheless). all of my hormones are normal and I ovulate regularly. doing the sperm analysis this month hopefully! SO glad I found this site!

i do have a question... i'm a little confused by some of the jargon :) could someone give me a quick vocab lesson..(IUI, AF, BFP, OPK; just to name a few) Thanks and good luck to all of you!!!!! It's wonderful having ppl to share this with that actually understand what youre going through!!

Hi Girls, hope you don't mind if I join in. My hubby and I have been TTC for 1 yr too. I had an HSG on 8/17 and haven't had any luck getting prego yet :( . HOwever, they did say that the 3 cycles that follow it are more fertile. We have had semen analysis, blood work etc and everything looks good. Just saw the RE and diagnosed wiht unexplained infertility. I'm on CD7 right now so we're heading into another month of trying. Crossing fingers!!! Baby dust to all of you. HSG's definteily help move things along!

DBarnes, I can totally relate to the four missed pills pregnancy! We've been trying for awhile too and my friend at work just told me she was prego. She wasn't trying, plus she just had a baby a year ago! Crazy stuff. :)

Here are some of the definitions I know.
IUI - intrauterine insemination
OPK - ovulaton predictor kit
BFP - big fat positive (pregnancy test)
BFN - big fat negative
AF - aunt flo (your period)
DH, DD, DS - dear husband, daughter, son
O - ovulation
CD - cycle day
CDPO - cycle day past ovulation
LP - luteal phase (time from ovulation to period)
BD - baby dance (sex)
TTC - trying to concieve
I think thats most of them. I hope that helps. I was confused by some at first as well. I think I might break down and test today. DH wants to give it a try. We are really hoping. I'll let you guys know.

Hi ladies, I had an HSG done in early February and all was clear. I was PG by April but m/c in May. Currently I am still ttc since then with IUI but no luck I am supposed to have a laparoscopy next month. Anyone have any luck after having that done?

Well everybody I broke bad this morning and took a preg. test BFN. I will try again next month. DaisyClara let me know how it goes. Good luck to everyone. I think my husband is going to start taking fertility vitamins. It is about 270.00 or so for a 3 mth supply. I haven't had my levels checked yet. I think I will do that next month to make sure I am ovulating.

Well hello ladies. I hope you don't mind if I join in. This is actually the first time I have done one of these, but reading was so helpful, I just had to write. I am 37, never been pregnant and been TTC for 2 years. I had just had my HSG on Wednesday. The OPK this morning was a smiley face (positive), so I am sitting here with a glass of wine waiting for my husband to get home from work to 'get romantic'. Wish me luck and I look forward to seeing everyone's news, progress and posts.

I just really wanted to say 'Thank You' for all the positive vibes. I'm really hoping that the HSG does the trick; the Dr. said everything looked good and both my blook work and my DH's test came back normal.......so, thank you for sharing your stories!

Hi Sherryz! Of course, I remember you! How is your pregnancy going? Looks like the HSG didn't work for me...because it has been more than 3 months now since I had it. I've been trying clomid, and no luck yet! Thanks for your prayers! ASR-hope your pregnancy is going well, too. Good luck ladies.

Hello everybody. Hope you don't mind if I join in. My friend dbarnes turned me onto this website. It's been very informative. I had a lapraoscopy and hysteroscopy last year and I am now attending a fertility specialist. My husband's levels are through the roof now (very low before) I have taken Clomid, I took the ovulation test but it did not show + surge, an ultrasound was done and follicles were a good size so IUI was done but then I had blood drawn and level was not high enough to OV. So I had two HCG shots. Anybody have an experience similar to mine. I am 19 days post AF. Still 9 days til next AF and already have sore and full BB. This usually doesn't happen until 5 days before AF but been feeling like this all week. Some minor cramping nothing major. I can do blood test Saturday. Going insane waiting. My prayers are going out to all of you right now. God is teaching me something right, although I'm not sure what.....but I do know that I will see his lesson for me and it will only make me stronger and more faithful. I hope I didn't offend anyone by this, but he has been my strength and I wanted to share
