Hi Faridah, I would consult your doctor first and see what he/she thinks. Personally, after much research and debate, I would continue at least until after the 1st trimester. I have read that women with PCOS are more prone to miscarrying within that timeframe and have read that taking Met actually helps. My doctor had told me to stop Met if i do get pregnant, but i will go against that advice when, (God willing) i do get pregnant. Many, many women have had successful pregnancies while on Met for the full 9 months or just the 1st trimester.

Hi Drew! How are you feeling? Any more things going on with your body?? I'm on day 34 of my cycle...and i'm getting nervous. If i don't get my period, then i'll test next friday. I really hope we get some good news. I know you are probably just as anxious as i am for this wait to be over.I'm just going to relax for this long weekend tho. Have a good one!

Hi Layla! I'm starting in with some cramping today, and its cd 25, so I don't think this is it. I'm still really tired, but I think that has alot to do with this cold. My fingers are crossed for you, this has to be it!! Lotsa luck and enjoy relaxing!

Hey Drew, Any news on your end? Yesterday was cd 39 and i was supposed to get it but i didn't so excitedly i took a damn hpt and it came out negative. I kinda laughed it off and told myself it serves me right for thinking i could be prego. I guess i got emotionally carried away. But i still have NO sign of my period. I'm nervous that my body has reverted back to a longer cycle and now i'll be all screwed up again on counting days. Did i test too early? How long should i wait before testing again in case i don't get my period? This is so frustrating!!! And here i thought i had developed a close to normal cycle.

Hi Layla. Wow, thats weird, almost the exact same thing is going on with me! I tested today, cd 31 in about a 33 day cycle. BFN of course. But I too am wondering cause if af is supposed to rear her ugly head by Friday, I'm feeling pretty good. No cramps, bloating, my boobs are sensitive but not sore. No sign of af at all!! (but that being said, how much you wanna bet I will have it by Friday lol) I was thinking maybe it was too early too. Then I got to thinking, with my daughter-who's 7 now, urine tests never showed up till I was 3 months. Maybe I will call my gyn's office for blood work. Here's hoping this isn't all in our heads!!! :)

Hey Drew, Any new news? I decided to wait until next Friday to take another test. If that shows up negative, then i'll wait til Monday after to go get bloodwork. It's just so frustrating, i mean i took 2 hpt one on the cd39 (my due date) and one cd40 and both came out neg. I'm just tired of such dissapointment. So, i'll just wait it out i guess. Why did it take 3 months for your hpt to show +tive with your first child? Is this common with other women to not show a +tive when in fact they are pregnant? Are blood tests always accurate? Where's that damn cloud with the silver lining when you need it?

I am taking 1500mg right now and I have PCOS but i am still not pregnant. We been trying for 8 months.

I took Metformin for PCOS and the diarreha I got from it was absolutely horrible! I had to go poo ALL the time. I hated it and stopped taking the Met because I couldn't take it anymore. After I stopped taking it, I felt SO GREAT that I decided I'll never take it again.

This is my 3rd month on Met, 1000mg. I am starting to wonder whether i am taking enough. My period has not shown up, even tho i had a good cycle past 2 months. I am just confused. How am i supposed to know when i am ovulating? So frustrated, late now 11days and took 3hpt and got negatives for all. How depressing!

Ok...Tomorrow I will start Med....One at Dinner For A Week...2 at dinner for a week, 3 at dinner for a week and then finally 4 at dinner for a week...How long is it gunna take to get pregnant???

Hey Ashley, I been on Met for 3 months and nothing yet. Some are lucky to get pregnant 1 month into it. Some, can take years. I guess it just all depends on your own body's reaction to the meds. I've been ttc for 1 year already. I'm still trying to get my period to come on time. Good luck to us all.

I was on Metformin for three cycles and then I got pregnant, currently I'm 9 weeks pregnant. It wes the metformin my doctor prescribed for me that finally got me preggs after ttc for 5yrs. So positive thoughts ladies and it will happen someday. Babydust to one and all.
