I sure hope this cycle is the one!!! how many units of follistim did u take daily? im taking 75 units! i finish shots tomorrow and go for u/s and labs sunday morning. the RE called me this week to tell me DH's sperm analysis showed 40 million sperm but only 3% had progressive motility and she said they like that number to be around 32%. his SA back in august showed 7% progessive motility and he is now on clomid and a motility support pill. so they are thinking he has a sperm antibody and his body is attacking his sperm, the treatment for this is IUI and they way they spin and wash the sperm before the IUI so im really anxious now considering i was expecting his numbers to be improved from the medication. The nurse said it only takes 1 but I know the reality of the fertility world. I am just praying that I will have some peace of mind and be calm and not worry about this, God does have a plan! Keep me up to date with any symtoms u are experiencing EHK!

Erin3015, cant wait to hear the sex of your babies! I am a NICU nurse so I would love to hear the progress of your babies!

I was on 75 units a day as well. I'm sorry to hear about your DH's sperm analysis but you are right, it only takes one and if you have a few targets with the injectables, I think you have a good chance! My DH's SA was 52 million and they didn't say anything about the motility so I am assuming it was ok. I haven't had any symptoms yet of course but I had really bad stomach pain the day of ovulation. They told me that that might happen because I had several follicles. Thank goodness I didn't have to work that day because I don't think I could have. The only thing that gave me relief was to lay down. I would recommend taking off work the day of your IUI if you can. Also, I was supposed to come in at 10:00 am on Tues, 36 hours after HCG, for the IUI, well I thought she said 2:00!! They called me and left a message wondering where I was lol. I called back set up an appointment that day for 1:30. That was 39 hours after my HCG shot and I'm really hoping I didn't mess up this cycle. The nurses reassured me that the timing was perfectly fine and to not worry about it. Let me know how your appoitment goes Sunday!! I will be sending good thoughts your way!!

So I went in for bloodwork and U/s today, which is cd9. I had lots of follicles but none were big enough yet so I have to continue follistim 75 units tonight, Monday night and Tuesday night and then go back on Wednesday morning! Anyone else have to continue injectibles cause there follicles weren't big enough yet? I only have a right ovary cause I lost my left to ovarian cancer when I was 16 so they said they wanted to start me on a low dose so they didn't hyperstimulate my ovary. Anyways, how are u feeling EHK? What's the sex of the babies Erin?

Well it's official.... I have two SONS! We had great fun telling family last night who were all surprised. The consensus was g/g or b/g, but no one thought two boys. We are excited, we had our belly photo shoot today and it was a lot of fun, and filled with boy stuff! Good to hear things are moving along for you guys, and it is true it only takes one! I also had pain the daily I ovulated, and then the day after as well. My DH numbers were also lower than they said they would like, but we had no problems. Good luck ladies :) baby dust to ya?!

Stacey- I think it's totally normal for you to have to come back in for another ultrasound with your follicles not being big enough. Slow and steady is how my RE said he likes my follicles to grow. That is one of the things that I like about injectables is that you are monitored more often than with Femara or Clomid. I think everyone responds differently with injectables so they have to keep a close eye out on the growth. I have a really good feeling about this cycle being the one to bring you a BFP!! I am feeling good but my stomach is still a little sore from ovulating. I am thinking that I may have mild OHSS. I am not complaining though, especially if I get a BFP out of it :) I am only 5dpiui so still a ways to go. I plan to test next Sunday...eeek!!

Erin- Congrats on having boys!!! Snakes, snails and puppy dog tails :) They will be best friends I'm sure! So exciting!!

Wow Stacey, 4 1/2 years! I really hope this is it for you. We have only been trying a year. Let me know how your appoitment goes tomorrow! I bet you are close to triggering! I am just patiently waiting to test, tapping my toe :)

Well, my labs were great this am but I only had 1 Good and mature follicle. I was kinda disappointed I didn't have at least 2 to increase chances for the sperm haha but oh well. I trigger tonight and IUI Friday morning!

When do u test EHK? Are u having to do progesterone suppositories in the mean time?

I'm glad your labs were good! And I know you are disappointed about the one follicle but remember it only takes one! Did they say what size the other ones were? Is there a chance that any of the other ones can catch up? That is exciting about triggering tonight and getting the ball rolling!!

I am going to test on Saturday or Sunday....knowing me it will be Saturday ;) That will be 12 dpo. I am not doing prog. suppositories but instead my RE had me do a half shot of HCG 2 days after the IUI. He says its supports the luteal phase. I guess if I get pregnant then we will test my progesterone levels and see if I need to be on any kind of support. I have had to be on them in the past with the ectopic pregnancy. Are you going to have to do them?

No they didn't say and I didn't ask cause all that was going through my head was "only 1???" I know it only takes 1 but I figured I would at least have 2. My husband just gave me my trigger shot. This doc wanted me to do it IM in the butt but my other doc had me do it sub-q, do u know if there is any difference? I figure it is just preference of the doc. Yay!!!! I know u are getting anxious to test!! They want me to do the progesterone suppositories like 2 days after IUI, not sure why I just know that is there protocol for every patient. I did estrogen suppositories when I took femara cause it thinned my uterine lining. Well I cant wait to hear your test results! Keep us posted! Does your stomach feel better?

I did the trigger in my stomach per RE's instruction but when I did it in office at my OB's, they did it in the butt. Not sure if the location makes a difference though.

These last few days are dragging by soooo slow!! The first week of the 2ww always goes by pretty fast; probably because I know that it is too early to test so I don't think about it. But the second week is always terrible!! My stomach feels much better, just bloated. Thanks for asking!

So IUI done this am. DH's sperm count initially only yielded 1 million total progressive motile sperm so they made him do another collection which actually yielded another 1 million progressive motile sperm for a total of 2 million of forward swimmers, which is the minimum to even do IUI..... Needless to say I have been an emotional basket case today! I was thinking we weren't even going to get to do it cause I didn't think the second collection would have much. I know it only takes 1 so I'm gonna try to be positive! I'm chilling and watching chick flicks the rest of the day! :) i go for a progesterone check next thursday and for a pregnancy test in the office on 11/16. Until then, no worries! God is in control!

Hey Stacey! I am so sorry that you didn't get the best sperm results but you are right, it only takes 1! I have read of several girls that have gotten pregnant with a low sperm count with IUI's. Remember that they are only insemenating perfect sperm so although you only had 2 million, they are all perfect and I think you still have a great chance! I am glad you got to relax the rest of the day. That was something that I did't get the chance to do with my first IUI but with this one, I literally stayed on the couch all day. Even though my RE said it was completely fine to go back to work, I felt better being able to rest and let things happen while laying down and not running around all day. I am glad that you are putting your faith in God. That always helps to keep me calm during the wait. Also, a friend of mine let me borrow a book called 'Calm my Anxious Heart' that I am going to read this weekend. I have two friends that went through fertility issues that said it was great. You may want to look into it if you haven't read it!

Well as for me, I am anxious to test this weekend. My bb's are sore but that is about it and they always get sore right before AF so there is no telling if it's a preg symptom or not. I will keep you updated!

Well I just took a FRER digital and it was negative so I am pretty sure I am out this cycle. I am 13dpo so I would think it would be positive by now. I also don't have any preg symptoms and have all the PMS symptoms so I should start tomorrow. So frustrating...
