Hi. I am 31 yrs. old and this is my first IVF. I had the transfer done last Monday, Jan. 31, 2005. Because of OHSS, my doctor recommended that I start the progesterone shots only after I started spotting. Isn’t this odd? Shouldn’t they be strictly monitoring me with blood tests every 2 days or so?? This past Sunday morning I started bleeding (6 days later). I say bleeding because it was more than just a few drops. It was as though I was starting my cycle. I also had blood clots that dropped. For the past 2 days I have been miserable. The emotional roller coaster is truly unbearable. Anyways, I immediately called my doc Sunday morning and he had me start on progesterone shots – 1cc in the morn and 1cc at night. Yesterday I bled as I used the restroom (as though I was starting my cycle). I also had blood clots. This morning, however, the blood was brownish color and it was like residue (like after a cycle). Tomorrow is my pregnancy test. I can’t wait. My husband says to have faith and it could be part of the implantation cycle. Could it be?? Also, he says it could be that I am one of the women that bleed during pregnancy. But, first of all, could I still be pregnant? Has anyone experienced this situation? Isn’t is odd the my doc waited to start me on progesterone without constant blood draws?
