How safe is Clomid?

I have the chance to take Clomid as a result of not being able to conceive on my own. I just want to know if it is safe. If anyone else has tried it and if they had any issues or multiple births?!

i wonder why no one else has responded? anyway, i wondered the same thing and was told by my dr that it has been around for 30 years and many, many women have conceived using it. i know of two women who conceived triplets on it. another conceived twins. mostly it's just single babies though. it can cause some less than pleasant side effects and can be dangerous in too high of doses, causing ovarian cycts or even hyperstimulating your ovaries which, in a really bad scenario, could cause you to lose an ovary. usually it's not used for longer than 6 cycles at a time. it's a good idea to be monitored by a dr. if you're going to take it. good luck, whatever you decide.
