Okay, so I'm planning to call my doctor, but I thought I'd ask on here too. I'm a day 5-9 clomid taker, and my first cycle was unsuccessful. My question is what do I treat as day 1? last cycle and this cycle, a few days after I finished the Provera I had a day or so of spotting, then nothing, then some spotting, and then my period. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to treat the first day of spotting as day 1, making today day 4 or if I treat today, when I have an actual "flo," as day 1.... Anybody have this happen to them? suggestions?

my dr. said count day 1 as the day you have real flow and need to use a maxi pad or tampon. spotting doesn't count.

I was told that you count day 1 as your first day of flow no spotting however I did find a fertility clinic that said if you spot in am and flow by noon you can count that as day 1.

I thought I would add something I read in a book it said if you have irregular periods than spotting is not unusual for your period so if you have three days of continued spotting to count day three ad your day 1.
