Hi all! Well ill get to it. Me and my husband have been having unprotected sex for about 3 and a half years now. About twice weekly average, and usually around the time of my ovulation. Never a missed period, never even a late one. We are not activly trying to get preggers, but a surprise would be nice. ;) Under these circumstances, one would think that we would have hit the spot atleast one time. Is it strange that we havent gotten pregnant yet? Could I be barren? Anyone else have this issue?

to find out, you have a few choices... 1)ask your doctor to check you and your dh out. 2) Begin charting your monthly cycles, bbt, etc and 3) Use a OPK... You only have about 20-25% chance each month to get pregnant and if you are only having it 2 times a week, you could be missing your dates. I had been in the same position - 4 years with no protection and no pregnancies - Doctor says everything is ok so far, I am going back again this week to check for PCOS again. I started charting and taking vitamins that are supposed to regulate your cycles... gonna see what happens.

Yeas I agree with Char, you should be checked first. And I don't know why, but somehow the word "barren" sound so bad. I don't think it should be used in any occasions. I am TTC for 5 yrs. To Char: what are those vitamins to regulate menses because I have that problem. Please let me know. My e-mail is [email protected]

Thanks for the info! I am pretty sure that we hit the ovulation right on the button, as i am like clockwork. Maybe its just not meant to be. If not, i know that there are many babies out there who need mommies and daddys! Just something about carrying your own gets me abit :) thanks again ladies!
