Trying to have another baby

I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy may 2003. I seperated from his father and now me and my fiance' have been trying to have another baby since jan. 2004. We have been unprotected every day of our relationship and still nothing happens. I was on the pill for a few months, but stopped taking in last january and that made my periods irregular. I just started my period again last week, but still nothing. Is it him or me?
