my fiance' has done drugs in his past and I was wondering if that would affect me becoming pregnant. He smokes pot occasionally..what about that??

I have herd that it can lower the chances but then again my friend ( who smokes pot everyday and has for years) got married in June of 03 and they we preg by July of 03. Sooo maybe it does not matter?
