Hello ladies,
I haven't been on the forum since November. Since that time, my GYN doctor said that the HSG was in conclusive. So, I gave up. Had the tubal reversal 6/28/10, HSG was done in Nov. My period came on 1/27 and ended 2/3. I thought I would have a long cycle and would see mary (period) at the end of Feb or first week of March. No mary, went to buy pregnancy test and just did it this morning. Lo and behold... 2 positive lines! I was floored, and I still cannot believe that I am positive. 43 and preggo! Don't give up ladies, God works in his own time. I am sending out blessings and sprinkling baby dust for you all!

Hi It's been a long time since I've been on the page. But I've also had and HSG last year after trying to get pregnant for 7yrs. Low and behold I went took the HSG and I was pregnant a month later. I was in shock! My daughter is now 20mths old now. A couple months ago me and my hubby wanted to have another baby so I went had another HSG in Jan.of this year. But a month before that we had tried on our own. Nothing came from that. So now I've taken the HSG in Jan. and in Feb. no results but now this month my aunt flo is 3days late. I'm never ever ever late. All regular periods and if I am off its off by one day not 3. So hopefully I'm pregnant!! Not going to get my hopes up high it could be just stress since we just transferred to Japan and is living in a hotel on base. So just the transition may be stressing me out. But I'm hoping for the best and will keep updates to all and baby dust and prayers to all.

Hey, the hubby and I have been trying for 10 years. I didn’t know that I had thyroid problems. Before that I was on the Depo shot since 1999, after I had my first daughter. The last shot that I took was in 2005. So…from 2005 till now, no consistent periods. Within the last few months I started to have periods on a regular basis. My Dr thinks it’s because my T3 and T4 levels are regulating and my body is now accepting the hormones I have been taking since my thyroid surgery in 2009. We have been trying and nothing has happened… my Dr. suggested having an HSG on tomorrow. I am wondering if I need to have this to see if I can get pregnant. I know a big part of it was because I was not having regular flow and/or ovulating. From September to now I have had heavy periods and am eager to have this test and see what the future holds. Any suggestions? My hubby and I are both 34. Thanks for any help you ladies can give me or encouragement!!!

Hi Ladies, I'm also new to this forum just registered after googling about HSG. Some of the stories here are almoat similar to mine though I must be grateful that some women never felt pain during there HSG. You guys are indeed lucky, my experience was so awful that I wouldn't wish it to my nemesis. I had mine just last week and it was extremely painful during and after the procedure. I couldn't walk from the cramps despite having taken Ibuprofen an hour before as per my OBY/GYN's advice. 2 hours after,I got so bloated that sleeping on my tummy was impossible. I called my OBY/GYN but he said it was normal and would probably subside but invain.8hours later my pelvic still hurt like hell (xcuse my lingo)and tummy was swollen, hard and sore to touch, Call me wimpish but Gosh it was HORRIBLE!!!! took more painkillers but since I couldnt eat anything due to severe bloating and nausea, I felt so weak and dizzy! Hot waterbottle and a back rub from DH helped ease the cramps. A local midwife also helped with some herbal laxative that released the bloating with a mild bowel motion but that was not the end of my agony, 2nd day My rectal area was inflammed and so painful that I couldn't sit up! I'm just praying and that all that pain I went through was worth it, my OD started a day after the HSG but I was to sore to BD. 4th&5th day is when we BD. Crossing my fingers and praying for BFP if not now then after my next AF, GOd willing.

I got pregnant 2yrs ago after to had an HSG and a month later I was preggers after ttc for 7yrs. I had another one last January and I haven't gotten pregnant. I went it the doctor last month and did more test to see if I was fertile and there's nothing wrong with me at all. All I can say is keep trying. Don't give up. I've tried the. "Don't worry about it method." It will happen when you just forget about it. But you don't. Having your menstrual cycle is a horrible reminder every month for me I hate it. Unfortunately I'm overseas and the hospital on the base is so small I can't get anything done on there because we don't have the doctors or the funding. So I started taking vitamins again which I don't know if that's gonna help but it's worth the try. It really doesn't matter because my hubby is deployed. I begged the doctor to put me on clomid but he wouldn't because he says I'm fertile. He said if I'm serious He can refer me out in town to a Japanese fertility clinic, which I can't afford at the moment. So I'm back to ttc on my own. I also bought some of this lubricant that I guess helps if your trying to conceive. I don't know I was trying everything. So between the HSG, lubricant, and having intercourse everyday I got pregnant with my last daughter and that was 2yrs ago. You still have 2 more months before the HSG kinda fades out. So keep trying. Do it as much as possible. Baby Dust and prayers to both of us.

Hello all i am new to this fourm. I have been trying to concieve for four yrs with no success. We are now seeking a fertility specialist that seems to be very helpful. Just had a question maybe some of yall can answer this for me. I had an HSG done 2 days ago with no cramping other then when the dye was pushed in, although today i have been experiencing cramping all day. does anyone know what this could be or have experienced this. could i be preggers? or could it be ovulation although i have never cramped with ovulation.

hello all, i am new to the fourm. experiencing camping 2 days after HSG, had no cramping the day after or on the day of the HSG other then the few minutes during the procedure. What could be causing the cramping 2days after? could i be preggers or could it be ovulation. Although i have never experienced cramping during ovulation over the past 4yrs of trying to concieve. Thanks any replies would be helpful.

Needablessing01 - October 31

I'm not sure about 2days after. I didn't experience any cramping after the procedure. But I hope it has stopped since.

sweetmagnolia - October 31

It's too early to tell if you are pregnant but it's possible that the cramps are caused by ovulating and what I know is we are fertile seven days before ovulation ,the day of ovulation, and the day after ovulation. After this, chances of conception decrease quickly, as the egg has a short life-span of about 24 hours. If you've BBD this whole time then be patient and see if Aunt Flo will show up, if not just track your next cycle and TTC. I pray for a BFP ...Baby dust to you.
