WHAT IS THE EARLIEST I CAN TAKE A PREGNANCT TEST? AND ARE THEY RESULTS TRUE?

Debi - September 29

Some test can test up to 4 days before your period. Others you need to wait until 1 day after.

If you can hold off, it's probably best to wait about 14 days post-ovulation. Easier said than done, I know. But Debi is right, some tests (like First Response, aka FRED) are supposed to be accurate as early as 4 or 5 days before AF is due. However, be aware that not all women who use the First Response tests are producing enough HCG for it to give a positive reading though they may be pregnant. Most likely, a positive is a true positive, but in the case of a negative it may be too early to test. However, if you're pretty late & the test is still negative there could be something else at work. Confusing, I know. Good luck!
